To be honest, when S3 of Last Airbender ended people were pissed about how the Lion Turtle came out of nowhere as if the only way for any movie or series to end is for no new stuff to get introduced. I still have friends who hated the ending of that. Time will tell whether I think of this ending to be as epic as Last Airbender. I don't think it will be, but it's still better than most of what's on TV. Too many tentacles again. They were semi predictable. Someone said Vaatu would fuse with Unalaq. At least they aired the last four episodes all at once. Mako should have told her he started dating Asami. Were they really dating though? It feels like a stretch. Also, why? He and Korra weren't together at that point anyway.

Edit: As for Mako lying to Korra the first time, I assumed he did it from the shock of Korra not remembering taking him by surprise, and considering that she had an upcoming battle with Vaatu that decided the fate of the world, that wasn't the right moment to bring it up.

Yeah, I think she had bigger problems to worry about than "boy issues," and Mako realized this (plus he was scared of her, lawl)

It felt like Aang was fighting someone the viewers didn't care about nor had any connection to. I was more excited when he was fighting Sparky Sparky Boom Man than the Fire Lord. It just felt like procedure when it happened and was nothing that made you jump out of your seat and yell: "YES" when he won. But that final fight had super epic bending with aang vs ozai and that agni kai with azula. I dunno, I thought it was pretty enjoyable to watch.

Sooooooooo many plot holes these last episodes. Like really, how the fuck does Jinora even have super powers? I mean I know that she has a special connection but this isn't really what I thought of when they said that. It would've all made sense imo if Rapha would just have been like "screw you Korra, I'm fusing with Jinora cuz she is way more awesome and actually has a feeling for spiritual matters" but instead of that Jinora just went back home (like wtf???). AND LASTLY WHERE THE FUCK DID VATU GO. They just said that one cannot live without the other, so will the next season be Vatu slowly taking over Korra or something?

Yeah but seeing how fast Rapha was back shouldn't Vatu be back already as well?

Also, Korra's avatar state is ridiculously weak.

Also, Korra's avatar state is ridiculously weak. Well they basically just removed the whole avatar state from the series (because avatar state was supposed to be calling on the knowledge of the earlier avatars, which she can't do anymore) so they did "fix" that problem I guess.
