dont think u can call that amnesia, they just had no idea what the f was going on there. the only big "amnesia" point there was that aang didnt know he died untill katara heals the wound, i think. Never was a major part iirc

Jet did lose his memory of what had gone on in Ba Sing Se but that was due to brainwashing.

I agree, there was never any amnesia in last airbender.

This is a bit random but i do wish they would show some toph backstory when she was on the force (so far we only got flashbacks in book 1 where she only just there) Ive been seeing some really cool adult toph fan art on random image sites they look so amazing like this one

That blood on her hands is the blood of her enemies. Toph doesn't bleed.

I heard Toph's tears cure cancer but she never cries. Also, behind her beard is just another fist...er...wait.

On topic: I'm really enjoying this book (and the series in general). I agree that sometimes it seems a little bit slow and there is a lot of stuff I feel like they could cut out, but after Avatar: TLA I utterly trust the team. They've done a great job and while this will never mirror TLA perfectly I think the premise they started out with is cool, and requires a reinterpretation, and am excited to see it continue.

Edit:

This was incredible and strengthened my faith in the team. Thanks for sharing.

If you want to be honest about it they sell the episodes on Itunes.

Should I even watch this episode or just stop watching Korra altogether. Adventure time seems way more attractive right now.

I would enjoy this show so much more if Korra wasn't a whiny teenage girl.

My main gripe is that the story is moving so fast, so I'm kind of happy with the amnesia stuff (pace will hopefully slow down now).

Anyway, I'd probably watch it and the one this friday. Aparently something important is about to happen.

I'm mostly bothered by the speed of the episodes and the bad acting. I think Korra's whininess (not a word) is fine. They just don't need to have such poor acting and better characters/character development without just having too much ridiculousness.

I didn't like book 1 water or book 3 fire very much either but they were watchable.

I don't think these two episodes answers all of my questions about the dark spirits, but they were very enjoyable the way it was animated and the finale with Wan/Raava vs Vaatu.

+ Show Spoiler +
We also are going to see Koh again if this picture is the same tree that Vaatu was sealed in.

Maybe most people know of it. Didn't Unalaq say she needed to open to door now. Perhaps since it's the first time happening since the first avatar no one knows the story really. Like they know the worlds get close, but not the whole battle, or it might just be a big plot hole who knows.

I really liked theses episodes and the art style was ok, very pop-up stroy book.

Those two episodes were amazing. I felt like I was watching TLA. I know that Korra's abrasive personality was chosen with the full knowledge that she was annoying and they said they would address it. I wonder if this two-episode sequence was how they addressed it since she saw what her first incarnation was like, what he cared about and how it literally changed the world, and the purpose of her life. I expect to see a Korra who isn't so much like the little headstrong "my way only" toddler we were introduced to, but much more Aang like.

+ Show Spoiler +

I thought it was awesome we got to see Wan being trained by the dragon. I'm sad that we didn't see him training with air bison or badgermoles or whatever the water master is. Since the Lionturtles were such a big part too, I would have liked to see spirit bending a little more. Perhaps what they did with the people is all that spirit bending entails, but I had always thought that it was a little bit more intense and could be martial-artsy

It still bothers me that Unalaq was like "I don't need you to open the portals anymore Korra" and then the next episode he's like "jk I actually do need her".

Unalaq and that evil spirit are going to combine to be the main opponent of the season, a sort of evil-avatar. Calling it now.

hooooooooooooooo man those were some tasty episodes. There's been a serious lack of epic battles in this season and they certainly had that covered this time, the backstory was delicious, and wow the visuals were just so good. This season randomly did a 180 from complete disaster a few episodes back and things are going well.

It still may be not as badass as the first four books in term of animation, but those two episodes sure were tasty, I really loved how the elements were pictured. Feels like I played Okami all over again.

Hands down the best episodes of Korra (book I included).
