It did seem plausible that the children would win (due to the element of surprise, them being very good airbenders, and the most important fact of them being children, which would be sure to mess with anyone's motivation to fight) but I disliked the fight in general due to the stupid one-liners and my general hate of Meelo. This is basically how I felt, the fart bending really disappointed me. Has there been any plausible theories as to how/why Amon can remove bending? Also (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ when the United Force general talked and then was called Iroh.

He isn't taking away their bending forever.

In order to win they need to: 1) use the element of surprise or other trickery. 2) use overwhelming numbers. 3) use technology like those mechas. They had none of that on the island. I do think it's weird that none of the soldiers had those power gloves, as chi blocking by itself is more of a gimmick than a real weapon against prepared and competent benders. Also, Tenzin's kids aren't your average benders. They have been in training all their life by a true master bender. Also, I do agree that the season has been a little rushed... there were many interesting theme that could have been explored better, but sadly that comes from the series being only 2 seasons. And Mako is a total retard... I hope the whole triangle thing is going somewhere important that's not really retarded like the rich girl betraying them out of spite.

This isn't about episode 10 but + Show Spoiler + Sokka as the councilmen says he once fought a fire bender who could bend with his mind with only his boomerang. Is this from TLA? If so what episode? If not I kind of hope they delve into that more. The "special" benders like yakone and him are pretty interesting to me.

I think your vastly underestimating the power of the chi blockers. They are training in Dim Mak ( 點脈) and are vary capable fighters. And they did have gloves, and electrified sticks, just didn't have the opportunity to use them On June 18 2012 05:02 xxSK8rGUy277xx wrote: I'm really liking the series so far. Who used this third eye chakra (same one amon is targeting on your forhead) to bend due to an accident. Here you go! http://avatar.wikia.com/wiki/Combustion_Man

The gravity of that situation Lin was put in to protect the family against these trained chi blockers that TOOK DOWN TENZIN (WHO DID A FUCKING TORNADO) was just too much dumb. And I find it absurd that Amon can just parade in Republic City with nearly no opposition besides what we see as probably like 5 people (team avatar). This is the reason why I think they should've spread the happenings in this episode over 2 episodes or had an hour-long special. Way too rushed to emotionally feel the impending war and give us some better storytelling

And fart bending was funny. C'mon now. I understand not everyone can appreciate immature humour like me, but it's a bit silly expecting much more considering its still a kids show, still on nick, and the fact that its sequel to ATLA. Most of the jokes were like that.

Plus, he was fighting by himself versus multiple enemies that all had the drop on him. There were 3 children there all trained from birth and they surprise-attacked them. The oldest girl isn't even that much younger than Aang and Toph were in the original series. So yeah, their abilities were quite justified.

Then the rest of them just stood there like idiots who are incapable of thinking for themselves. http://i.minus.com/igcxPLCKMthxW.gif While some actually "fought" http://i.minus.com/ibpMgk4AhU2tLM.gif The same equalists army that was so perceived as badass and so gracefully combat-savvy and was capable of taking down Korra, Lin, Tenzin, etc. I just have to accept the fact I want a darker more mature LoK that I've been wanting since TLA. Nevertheless, I am excited to see how this General Iroh pans out. Hope we get a whole episode on him.

I know this is a cartoon and its on nickelodeon, but do we really need fart and poop jokes every other episode? Yeah i agree. No problem with the kids fighting, just the way it was executed was poor imo. What i would have liked to have seen, is the kid ambush the equalists and give Lin, the upper hand to allow her to finish everyone else off. Even if they just took out Meelo's part it would have been twice as good. The immature jokes really just take me out of the fight/story. Actually i don't even mind immature jokes, but their timing was despicable this episode. It was like right in the middle of a critical fight. If they could just keep the comic relief in transitional scenes, that would be much better as well. Speaking of which, Bolin's concerned gasp when Makko burned up the tickets was priceless. That's an example of well placed humor.

Using the resources of Future industries it that far fetched that he could be all "Look at my pimp airships".

What I meant by Parading town was during the episode they just march on in Republic City with no resistance. It would've been much more meaningful to the fans and the story if they showed some battles, rather than just the council getting abducted and a single fight sequence between team avatar and battle mechs. I wanted to see an all out declaration of war between the good vs evil rather than airships shooting at the ground. This was supposed to be the climax and beginning of the end yet it felt anticlimactic with Amon just clearly steamrolling the city.
