I suggest keeping yourself away from the pictures in the equestriadaily post, since they do spoil a bit, but the enjoyment is guaranteed.
I am actually having brony chills for every word I read(as opposed to nerd chills). It is really, really good.
<edit> Whoof, 454 pages and still not over, gotta wait for the next chapters t_t
Again, the writing style of this guy is insane. I am not joking when I say that Harry Potter ain't that good compared. Sure, HP was an original story and for that I credit it, but still this guy is a born writer. Someone show hire him or something.
Just watched all 26 episodes. Not surprised I liked it considering I don't mind watching cartoons from time to time. I felt character development was nothing special and overrated, which was disappointing considering how much I heard about it. However, the ponies overall had colorful personalities and the animation is absolutely wonderful. Probably one the best I've ever seen in a children's cartoon.
Episode 26 and 25 are definitively the best. They have solid endings and are humorous throughout the whole episode. Both are one step above the rest.
Hated the Cutie Mark Crusaders episodes. Can't pinpoint my exact reason, but I'm guessing it's because it deviates attention from the main cast.
Can't say I have a favorite pony. They're all likable in my eyes, but I love it when either Fluttershy or Pinky pie become delusional. They're so damn adorable.

Anyways looking forward to season 2.
By any chance did you like Cutie Mark Chronicles? (the one where they ask the mane6 how they got their cutie marks). I thought it was one of the better episodes.
Yeah, TVTropes likes to reference itself and tell stories as it explains things. It gets dense at times (though I enjoy it, so long as I know what they're talking about). That's why they stared alternate "laconic" versions of articles (laconic means extremely short and to the point). You can see along the top-ish of the page. The laconic definition for Schmuck Bait iiiiis:
"Falling for a trap that tells you not to fall for it."
It lacks some of the flavor, but it gets the point across. Like that giant mouse trap with a beer in it. It's like, don't try to steal the beer... duh. But you want to! Even if you don't drink. That's the schmuck compulsion, as I call it XD. (Other examples are giant buttons that say "Don't Push".)
Here we have the giant banner telling people otherwise, and yet they still post stuff that gets them banned

Ooh, okay. I ignored the whole row of buttons where "Laconic" was because the first thing was "Discussion" and I certainly wasn't about to discuss something I had no clue wtf it was. ^^ Also I didn't know what laconic meant anyway so meh.
But yeah, you're right. Though I feel the amount of "is this a troll" type of shenanigans went down quite a bit.
The cutie mark crusader thing is normally something that I dont like in a show (annoying little side main characters) but I cant help but enjoy those little guys alot
Heck my playstation 3 background is ALL cutie mark crusader related
which reminds me for anyone with ps3 and are interested:
I didn't know what "trope" or "Laconic" meant before I went on that sight. Speaking of, if anyone has, I dunno, 70 hours to have ripped from them, check out more of TVtropes. Look up your favorite series/whatever and start reading through the listed tropes. When the title of one catches your eye, check it out.
Beware though, the other forum I'm on mandates warnings when linking to TVTropes. We affectionately call it the "Black Hole".
Before we completely coast away from fanfic recommendations, let me recommend this one.
This won't be everyone's cup of tea since I know a lot of people don't like romance fics (I usually don't), but this is completely SFW and I feel like it captures the characters really well.
I read a fanfic once. It was good and everything but I think I would have trouble keeping things that happen in a fanfic apart from what actually happened in the show. Everything would get all blurred up and I would have no clue what's going on. TT
