I don't think I'm alone in saying that I feel like I actually know these ponies, and while it makes them more predictable, it also makes the show come alive.
Right. "Predictability isn't bad". Really nailed that fish-in-the-barrel there. Never asked for it, though. Poor guy.
Wanna back up to the point where we're still discussing the quandary of shutting down the show over one's need for that comfort?
Apparently I missed some epic Camail linkgasm earlier today... Want :O also reading all of this I'm somewhat more at ease with what's happening. I'm just scared of the show stopping. As someone said I don't feel they'll run out of interesting things but I'm loathing the day where I won ever have a foreseeable time to look forward to seeing TS/RR/PP/RD/FS/AJ again.

Surprisingly large amount of Applejack favorites as well.
Same thing with DotA 2. Lots of people I encounter in matchmaking have ponies as their avatar, if not their name. It's nice, because 90% of the time those people aren't douchebags, which is more than can be said for a lot of others.

It's good that it's predictable? It's predictable because the characters never develop and that's good? I know it's a cartoon for 10 year old girls, but this is something you find laudable?

Strange, I've found that the opposite is the case more often than not.

I get it almost all the time, because I'm playing in our inhouses. Which are totally awesome, and anyone who has DotA 2 in this thread should join.

I would, but I'm awful at DotA and the entire genre makes me rage like no other game can. >_>

Trust me, I'm probably worse. The inhouses are very laid back, and nobody really plays very competitively. Come join us.

I think what he is saying is that he's experienced life to the point that he has seen every characterization that e is comfortable with, and that every other mode of thought or character would end up being non-sensical. I agree that many of the core personality structures in life are present to use that this relatively young age, but I still think we are far too young to claim that we can't learn something from a tv show. (I know this isn't exactly your point but I don't have time to write out a detailed explanation + counter-point, this is just the gist of it).
