He took the blame because he loved her and in hopes that she would in turn love him, but we aren't given any indication that she ever thought of him as more than a friend. The scene is set for the rest of the drama by the betrayal and her ruthless social climbing. Wouldn't be much of a drama without it.

I just finished Bridal Mask and it was fantastical. I liked the ending (the surprise at the ending was ironically perfect), it pretty much resolved everything well. Han Chae Ah (who plays Ueno Rie) looks like SSK.
Can anyone recommend any other good action based dramas from the last couple of years? If not, I guess Reply 1997 is up next.
Edit: I think my next one will be Ghost, but I'm still up for suggestions for later.

She did try to give Maroo and the family money, it's just that EunGi was on her tail and she just sort of had no choice at one point. But dunno where it went all the way south tho. She just wants a good future for her child.
It's also pretty incredible how likable EunGi is eventhough she's such a bitch. She'll get nicer I think tho ^^

2 more movies to report. 10억 and 행복. First being nice departure from the usual melodrama, but suffered from using a played out premise. Has Shin Minah and was decently told so worth the time spent. Happiness was a sad one that pushed all the expected buttons. A bit slow but poignant.

Watched the first two episodes of Nice Guy, and I'm not all that impressed. I'll give it a few more episodes though since everyone else here seems to really like it.

Don't think enough drama happened within the first two eps to make it special I think.
I currently have a 0.08 ratio on asiatorrent. So hard to earn points and upload...upload speeds are horrendous here so points is the only way for me to fix this. And you can't spam a billion albums to seed like jpopsuki. But I want to dl more movies, but can't hit the 10GB mark >.<'

10Gb only works on 1 file that's so big no? How does it work I don't know but what a good way to do it is downloading a drama episode the minute it comes out and seed from there. Those popular ones at the moment like Arang and Nice Guy. Eventhough they are 1.5gb you can still inch out alot out of them. Or whole series that are popular like DreamHigh or Moon Embraces the Sun type of drama. Download for free but seed like a baws.
I just watched Chilling Romance with Son Ye Jin and Lee Min Ki... I thought it was a romance comedy but apparently it had horror elements aswell. Those small parts are scary as fuck, not gonna watch a full-fletched Korean horror man they are scary o.o I'm not fond of horrors man... Still a nice movie tho.

I don't find films scary, so straight horror films are duds for me. If there is a good story and/or a hot chick I don't mind.

Loving the development between Ma Ru and Eun Gi, but as much as I wish for the story to have a happy ending for them, I just can't see it happening. Damn revenge dramas.

Happiness is great, one of my favorite movies. I love Im Soo Jung and as a character film, it is really well done. Excellent pacing with enough detail and foreshadowing to reward the perceptive viewer.

Nice guy is mediocre revenge drama. The only thing I like about the drama is Eungi. 5 episodes in, all I see is mediocre story, ok acting, good pacing, and not enough revenge or a real motive for revenge. They mainly focus on the power struggle between the main female leads. I like Bad Guy, starring nam gil and han ga, and is better than Nice Guy. That drama has a better revenge scenario and plot that's actually entertaining. Best revenge drama I've watched, probably one of the first kdramas I've legitly watched, was temptation of wife. That shit is so legitly good, but also so long since it was a daily drama.

The guy gave up his future for the love of his life who proceeded to completely screw him over. Pretty good motivation to take her down imo. Also, the power struggle isn't a separate storyline like you make it out to be. What happens between the Eun Gi and Jae Hee directly influences Ma Ru's revenge plot. I haven't seen a revenge drama before, but I have a hard time believing that this is a mediocre one compared to others.
