What is this madness, I haven't felt this in a long time. Damn right, I wish I could forget about it for about 3 years and then rediscover it! Reading everything I missed in one go ![]()

Meh Gotoh not strong enough for the mighty Hisoka :D Mr Gambit Spiderman is too strong, for a moment I really thought he'd spin himself to death or atleast injure himself but he's just that strong. Gotoh quite a cool ability imo, not really special tho. So now that this is dealt with, Killua vs Illumi? A bit too soon so wuts gonna happen yo.

I missed the 'I've ever read' part. But anyway, my point is HxH is nothing compared to seinen as far as a twisted plot is concerned.

Anyway just wondering would you recommend that I read from chapter 1 onwards or skip to around where the anime ended? For me thats always a tough decision when moving on from anime to manga.

Skip to where the anime ended when moving on. It's in the middle of a manga chapter but you don't miss anything at all.

There were some touching/sad tunes that really stood out. completely 100% agree with you here. Hisoka's old voice did fit with him, but honestly I remember how much I hated it in the beginning. It did grow on me though and it was much more unique than the somewhat generic voice Hisoka has now. Im sure the new Hisoka voice will be fine though. Gon just needed to sound like a little boy. He sounds like a little boy, in fact I think he sounds less girly than he used to. Theres no problem here imo. The soundtrack, though, is something I have issue with. Everything seems lighthearted even though people are dying and shit is going down. The music just makes it all seem like a field trip. Hisoka's music is like some weird upbeat mariachi song rather than a mysterious creepy/foreboding tune. Ive said it many times before, but the music during the Genei Ryodan (Phantom Troupe) arc in York Shin City was probably the best soundtrack Ive heard in an anime (they even used a Chopin piece) and it was one of the most exciting arcs Ive seen in an anime as wel. If they fuck that series up in either music or general presentation Im gonna be pretty pissed

i gotta admit i always thought Hisoka was weak his ability seemed useless in combat and the peoples hes fought (Gon and the copy dude) werent spectacular and its not like they were flawless victorys but this chapter showed his ability is alot more versatile then i thought
