Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book.

I think the writing was pretty bad myself I can see why they need a change. I watched it but was underwhelmed. One link about it. You can find others http://www.tvsquad.com/2010/12/03/robert-kirkman-says-the-walking-dead-writers-werent-fired/

Every episode after that? It seems like it turned into your standard "here is an episode that even though it uses the setting of previous installations, it does little to actually advance the story." The hallmark of a good zombie story is how the characters individually develop to deal with the situation that life as they know it is over, and I am just not seeing that here like in the comics :/

Well, maybe there's a chance of it starting a little earlier, check the last question of an interview with Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston: + Show Spoiler + When it was first announced that Breaking Bad's premiere was being pushed back to July, immediate speculation was that AMC was trying to help Mad Men's Jon Hamm get an Emmy by taking you out of the race. Do you think that factored into the decision at all? Not at all. It was a decision from AMC that they wanted to position us in July, along with Mad Men. And I believe they're going to put Walking Dead in July as well. I think it's just a sensible thing — they want to attract as many eyeballs as possible, away from the heavy competition of the September, November, January start. Also, Jon is fantastic. I'm a big fan of Mad Men. I certainly couldn’t complain if any one of the other actors had won those awards instead of me. I'm glad it was me, but I think it's great that I'm not eligible for an Emmy next year. It doesn’t bother me in the least. It's not confirmed by AMC, but at least gives us some hope.

However, The Walking Dead is one of the few series on television that I find to be very enjoyable and entertaining. Some of the acting is not up to par by some of the characters of course, but I feel that the main characters and Daryl make up for it. Throughout every episode I'm constantly filled with the feelings of anxiety, depression, and hopelessness for the group. The notion of the highly-improbable zombie apocalypse in this fashion is horribly disturbing and I think the vibe of the series is fitting. I'll forget about it by October 2011, but when they announce it I'll be pleasantly reminded. I think this has potential to be a really solid series. Just an opinion from someone who has never had any prior interest in the zombie genre(or much horror in general, I suppose.)

Also filming of the new season starts June 1st. Good news! I'm so looking forward for the new season. If the filming starts in June when could we actually expect the show to air on tv?

I can't say anything without giving spoilers, but The Walking Dead is a very grim series. I think AMC went in the right direction by not following the comic series. There are a lot of scenes in The Walking Dead that I don't think the television audience will ever be ready for, especially in issue #83... Basically, the reason that I can't recommend many people read The Walking Dead is because it's just depressing. Sure it's an amazing comic and really showcases what would happen in an apocalypse, but it's overly depressing. While the events of the comic would probably happen in real life to some degree, it's just not something you want to think or read about. I just hope that if it happens, we deal with it much, much better. And some might call me weak, but if reality followed the events of the comic, I would rather kill myself than experience it. Doubters might want to read the entire comic up to issue #83 before arguing... if you've been emotionally attached to the series, everything that happens is just... draining.

I guess if each one is amazing it'll be fine. 12-13 Episodes is the normal format for all amc/hbo/sho/fx-1h-format series. So yeah, thats no surprise. Looking forward to it, i did like the start of the first season, the rest not so much, but they got lots of time to listen to the fans and react to the criticism.
