Nana Mizuki is also a really solid established artist. Both of them chart really well on oricon. Speaking of which, here is the top 50 oricon for july: + Show Spoiler [Oricon Top 50] +
As for big groups, AKB and its subgroups are super popular right now (in part because they have good schemes to get the wota to buy multiple copies of each release). But I'm not a fan of AKB, nor overly familiar with them, so I won't talk about that.
Another group that performs well on the charts is moumoon, which I included a video of higher up in this thread. For Male groups, Uverworld and B'z are the more popular ones that I enjoy: + Show Spoiler [Uverworld 7th Trigger] +
Cornelius stopped producing a long time ago but here's one of his many works
I swear Rina Hirata is going to be the 48's version of Ayaka Kimura. If Rina ever gets in AKB at least people in DC will love it because everyone went crazy when she started speaking English during the concert Ayaka + Show Spoiler +
It's similar to a k-pop trainee posting their own videos online. After all she is a Kenkyuusei / trainee. That video most likely came through her google+ page, so with that in mind even vids like that is all fan-service. Speaking of fan service, google / youtube is going to stream Atsuko Maeda's graduation live tomorrow...
Meanwhile, miwa's another singer/songwriter that's somewhat similar to the YUI mold
Really like this song, but it's really popular and likely has been posted before :X still worth a share though :3 + Show Spoiler +
Question: have you guys ever encountered a high-quality mp3 of Kumikyoku NicoNico Douga (THE NicoNico Douga Medley)? I have the original mix in 192 kbps and the "final mix" (famous one w/ vocals) in 160 kbps (noooooooo). Is this really the highest available? Thanks
Not sure how many people follow Shugo Tokumaru but he just released a new song. Really like the folkish style it has. He's constantly improving,
So far all the official videos of this song is blocked outside of Japan(guessing it has to do with the record company), so I'm not sure how long this video will stay up!
