I think OGs draft was unrealistically greedy. The only scenario they win is VP playing passively. CIS teams aren't known for their passive styles. Baffled.

Not really, as they can fight when all have lvl 6s. Issue is that VP puts on so much early pressure, before Optic is online. It's probably Chen that caused them more problems, so I think the Bloodseeker was a Hail Mary pick.

Optic is exploitable in the lanes from about 5 min to 10 min. That's where they'll lose games. It's also the point in time that VP puts on a lot of pressure. It's been a bad matchup for Optic and probably will continue to be, unless CCnC reaches another level.

Today's answer is "ban Chen", though the big thing is finding ways to punish VP for their early rotation game. I think that was the point of the BH and the Bloodseeker, to an extent. Problem is that VP can just push things faster (as with Chen), and CCnC really needs to be on a hero with an escape. He just isn't fast enough to play heroes without escapes at the top-tier.

Lol.

Team Spirit showing this early pressure is the current meta, as well.

Apparently, today is DP + Chen day. VP just rolled the early game with them.

Is it just me or were VP majorly arrogant dicks today (even more than usual)?

Credit to Pajkatt for playing an offlane-ish role when 33 is on a harder carry hero.

Think NS is one of the underexplored hero as a carry. Has the ability to snowball and scale decently with his talents and nullifier late game.

NS can be both high utility item carrier, and erase some heroes as things go late.

Especially against OG's draft, the pos 2 style NS is a nightmare to deal with, especially as he's getting levels.

If Optic can dodge Liquid in the bracket stage, they have a real shot at winning a major.

Optic can beat Liquid, it's VP that just has Optic's number. TL should be favored, but it's a ppd vs kuroky matchup. There's always interesting wrinkles.

Optic's best chance against VP might just be convincing them to party too much the night before. (VP's style is really potent against Optic's normal approach, though the wrinkle in the OG match is interesting.)

It is known VP win all ESL majors. Maybe it has to do with shitty formats and not giving other teams enough time to adapt to them.
