It's baffling to me that Liquid haven't won a major in DPC format this season, I forgot until Redeye mentioned it again on panel. One more chance at the supermajor! Or save strats for TI? huehue

I would say SA is doing it pretty fast.

It really is going to be LGD vs The World this year, unless the Meta shifts so radically for the Bracket that China is rolling.

So basically for me, VP, LGD are out for this mist. It left Secret, Mineski, VGJs, EG, Liquid, Vici as the contestors for coming TI.

Do you have any theory to back up your claims of putting Optic in the top 2 contenders for this TI?

I'm not sure he's talking about TI, if he's talking about this tournament, you're looking at a flat 50% chance it's one of those two teams. As for in general, given the way post-7.00 has played out, the way TI always plays out, Optic is actually one of the teams with the ability to vault to a TI victory. Having watched enough of the shifts, there is a pattern to how it works. 1) You can't be the "best team of the year". Everyone & their cousin comes in with a game plan against you. The Meta shifts too quickly at TI for someone to come in and just walk over everyone. (Alliance barely did it, and the game was far less refined then.) 2) You need to be on an upswing going into TI. These combined will be VP's big problem, but VP also has enough "do crazy stuff" ability to just win. 3) You need a good player to achieve "best player in the world" status for a week. Happens every TI, as that player will win 1-3 matches by their next-level play during the bracket. That's enough of a difference between going out in 6th and winning. 4) You don't set the meta; you solve the meta. This is true of every TI since #2. "Meta Riding" is how you get qualifier teams in Finals. Solving the Meta is how you win a tournament. See what LGD just did at MDL. 5) Avoid the team you match up with poorly. Especially avoiding teams from the same region in the upper bracket.
