Does it matter whether they lose a game? The West still showed it was the region to beat this tournament. Only Chinese team in top 3 is Ehome, and this is *without* Alliance being here. Next month is going to be another win for the West, I imagine. I don't see any other team coming up to beat the best of the West and Ehome has its limits.

Since i am bored in downtime, done h2h scores:

EG vs VG: 2-3 in favor of VG

OG vs VG: 0-2 in favor of VG

EG vs LGD: 2-1 in favor of EG

OG vs LGD: 2-0 in favor of OG

EHOME vs OG: 2-1 in favor of EHOME

LGD vs Secret: 2-1 in favor of LGD

Newbee vs Secret: 2-1 in favor of Newbee

OG vs Newbee: 2-0 in favor of OG

EG vs Newbee: 2-1 in favor of EG

So, 5 vs 4 in favor of China, you lose.

Wins are not born equal. Wins later in a tournament are of higher value, and require higher skill to obtain. This is why I examine tournament results and not individual game scores.

4/6 teams are chinese though.

its basically like it has ever been, there are a few top tier western teams. maybe 1, maybe 2 and then there is a whole lot of nothingness while the chinese have a higher density in top tier teams. the only time when this was different was around ti3 and around the frankfurt major this year.

it seems that we are back to good old dota of (insert random team) vs the chinese.

There's still 2-3 Western teams I'd place above Chinese teams, and the top Chinese teams have not been able to take a tournament from those teams for the last 10 months. This shows a difference in class and it is simply wrong to think of it as the Chinese having a higher quantity of top teams.

The Chinese have a higher quantity of above average teams. They have, however, few/no teams that win tournaments.

the western teams has 100% win rate if we exclude all the games they are beaten.

EG vs OG is the all evidence required to prove that wins later are not of higher value.

weaver is constantly full hp because napalm/decay spam and they dont have any stuns to threaten him. plus morph is against a bear and bears are scary.

It's LD vs Morph 1v1 pretty much.

And LD wrecks Morph in 1v1.
