they play one game less, its a pretty big advantage.
That's not how double elimination tourneys work. Extra rest isn't enough of an advantage. Eg would be eliminated now if it was single elimination.

CDEC has never won a finals.
This is a win for America, and another loss for China in the year of loss.
PPD lost finals to Empire, to VG, to iG. So get your facts straight, West fanfriend.
They did lose to Empire, but that's another Western team. I don't think PPD has lost this year to a Chinese team in the finals.
they've only played one tournament this year where they faced a chinese team in the finals
What's important is that CDEC has been in the finals a lot in China, but never won.
EG is not a "Chinese team".
We don't know whether CDEC finals choking abilities extend to any finals they are in tho. That's why i am almost sad because EG will win it and Azarkon won't shut up despite this tournament being complete failure for West.
Him proclaiming Western superiority would almost be funnier though.

I'm so torn about who to support, in one side i really want to see Fear finally win TI with the EG boys, then in the other side CDEC with their awesome run.
This TI is excellent.
Cheer for good games.
I dont want euro hater like you to be happy, then again i want West to win this year.

No, it is fine as it is now. A final should be a final without advantage. CDEC already has the advantage of not having to play another exhaustive BO3 today.
I don't get this. It should be a penalty to lose the bigger the penalty the better.
Having CDEC not have any sort of benefit is pretty silly given these people already play DOTA a huge amount normally anyhow so its not too much of an issue playing some extra games

Pit Lord to be added to CM for the Grand Finals. News just in, Deadma5 will also be playing while the grand finals are going on. It's going to be amazing!
they should add Oracle to CM for Grand Finals too, have fun drafting boys

These Dota nerds play like 12 hours a day anyway they'd be fine. There's just as much argument that EG have an advantage being fully warmed up and in the zone right now whereas CDEC are playing off the back of a pub or scrim.

Difficult choice.
TI1 barely even counts as TI. The latter IMO
Please, the only ti that happened in the civilized world not counting?
so far EG just seems to be the team that makes the fewest mistakes, apart from sumail everyone is pretty mediocre skillwise but not making horribad mistakes seems to be enough to win a TI.
