This EHOME reminds me of the EHOME of 2010. Teams just could not push high ground against them. First C9 now HR... They have the talent and raw skill like DK of 2014. However, the one big major difference is, this EHOME has the ability to defend the high ground when their behind 10k gold while DK of 2014 would just crumble when their behind and even when their miles ahead.

The inflame WK has been employed against greedy jungle strats as of late. Whenever a team picks doom or a greedy jungler, EHOME picks up the 4 support WK into carry. Interestingly, Lycan + WK is one of their go to combo's when they pick up the lycan. Lycan is able to jungle at 5mins and give the farm and levels to WK + AA.

You're favourably comparing a team who's nearly losing to HR to the team who dominated a large portion of last year.

You mean the way the Buffalo Bills dominated for a large portion of the '90s?

That game was, in fact, very easy to understand. HR drafted a mid game line up. Ehome got behind early. HR failed a few pushes bot due to throws in Ehome's base. Ehome's four core line up out scaled and they won.

The moment Slark was no longer able to just delete Ehome's cores, they lost. Doom wasn't the late game finisher that game that Doom normally is because dooming Medusa, Wraith King, and Lycan barely matters. It's not though Ehome was running Doom-vulnerable cores.

Yea, I had a feeling it had to do with players dicking around, despite how illogical that is. Surely Chinese players know that DAC is going to greatly affect their shots of making it into a decent team during the reshuffle. But then again, I also knew from a long time ago that Chinese teams don't always look at 'merit' when it comes to recruiting players, connections and all.

China probably has the players to make at least a couple good teams, it's just a question of how likely that is to happen.

iG is actually the closest to having a really good team, they just need to find a way to take Xiaoluo off of carry and put him on 5 and get a real carry player. The dynamics of the current iteration are just awful though, so if they don't find a way to fix that, they're going nowhere (it's a shame, cuz I think June's developed really well as a player while on iG, it's just the team's overall dynamic is really bad right now).

Sometimes I just wonder if IG should just get Chuan off the team.

There must come a point where his skills aint worth the shitty attitude he gives out. I mean that rage quit vs VG earlier on was just one example.

People should not be counting Newbee out. It took them an entire group stage at TI4 before they understood the meta. They basically analysed VG's early push strat, optimised it and won with it. In TI4, the bottom 6 were eliminated, only 4 teams will be eliminated for DAC. Newbee has already shown that they can win 5 BO3's in a row. Don't count them out.

This, but more broadly. People are reading too much into too little.

at this point Newbee looks to me they don't give a shit, they're just living cozy off their TI4 winnings + whatever sponsorships they have.
