The moment Slark was no longer able to just delete Ehome's cores, they lost. Doom wasn't the late game finisher that game that Doom normally is because dooming Medusa, Wraith King, and Lycan barely matters. It's not though Ehome was running Doom-vulnerable cores.

Surely Chinese players know that DAC is going to greatly affect their shots of making it into a decent team during the reshuffle. But then again, I also knew from a long time ago that Chinese teams don't always look at 'merit' when it comes to recruiting players, connections and all. China probably has the players to make at least a couple good teams, it's just a question of how likely that is to happen. iG is actually the closest to having a really good team, they just need to find a way to take Xiaoluo off of carry and put him on 5 and get a real carry player. The dynamics of the current iteration are just awful though, so if they don't find a way to fix that, they're going nowhere (it's a shame, cuz I think June's developed really well as a player while on iG, it's just the team's overall dynamic is really bad right now).

Sometimes I just wonder if IG should just get Chuan off the team. There must come a point where his skills aint worth the shitty attitude he gives out. I mean that rage quit vs VG earlier on was just one example.

They basically analysed BG's early push strat, optimised it and won with it. In TI4, the bottom 6 were eliminated, only 4 teams will be eliminated for DAC. Newbee has already shown that they can win 5 BO3's in a row. Don't count them out. This, but more broadly. People are reading too much into too little.
