Pretty much this if you're SEA and want to root for SEA you can only root for Titan and DK so DK/Titan just naturally have huuge fan bases plus the fact that Ice was a humongous streamer.

There is one exception though. People like C9 because EE and singsing is there. I have no idea if people actually like their playstyle. C9's style is to do something completely amazing one game. Personally I think the most entertaining thing to watch in dota is heroes fighting heroes.
The worst games are PvE. Naga/PL ratsiege and ye-olde chinadoto farmfests are the obvious examples, but early push lineups can definitely look like that as well.
If the defending team isn't able to engage into the veno/prophet/pugna/dp/rhasta siege, you pretty much get to watch the deathball roll around and eat towers for ten minutes. I don't find that very exciting either. Sure, it's aggressive and there's lots happening, but it's mostly hero-on-tower and not hero-on-hero.
Smoke enables that style by creating the divide in the first place, but I'd rather see the siege nerfed explicitly rather than smokes nerfed. They enable a lot of interesting gameplay in other situations.

Oh yeah, back in 2010-2012 I was a huuuge SC2 fan (and BW before that)... But sadly he doesn't stream anymore. I meant I only watch Stephano from mid 2013 and onwards.

Yeah. Last year I had orange flair during TI3, switched to DK after I saw Lanm and Mushi were going to DK.

It's true I only got into C9 because I'm a die-hard Sing fanboy, but C9 as a whole made me fall in love with them. You're always in for a treat, it's either brilliant play or the fuck up of the century. Also, come one, who doesn't appreciate Clown 9 once in a while.
