Is 4x bo3 too much for one day? I suppose it is right at the limit as even if you put down 3 hours for each match, you would be playing from 9am to 9pm each day. And given potential for 3 games, long games, breaks between matches to get players setup, any unforeseen issues, it can be a disaster if the games go too late. Now it seems that they tried to avoid that and the longest day is probably sunday with first the final 2 games of 2 lb matches and then the following 2 bo3 games as a whole. In a way it's understandable from this perspective that they first play all the wb matches on the first day (ideally I would have 2x wb games and 2x lb games on first day if it was possible), and only play the first game of some of the bo3 games on the second day.

it's only 2 BO3, then the first game of the next 2 BO3s. So a maximum of 9 games (BO3, BO3, 1 game, 1 game, all-star match).

Yea, my point was just that to avoid splitting up the series you would have to be able to run 4x bo3 per day, which is something that Valve seems to avoid. Understandably so.
