Once they got behind, supports super underleveled, they just started throwing bodies at bot rax. By then icex3 wasn't really a carry anymore, he got all utility items minus the Scythe of Vyse. DP cannot go that late. Burning was their only source of damage at that point. That's how EG always win these games. They play like how Alliance did in TI3. They have supports that have the ability to farm and turn their line-ups into like a 3-4 core deal. It's soo similar to Alliance back then.

Tbh, Burning was not even a source of damage either at that point, since his only actual dps items were desolator and bfly later on. Link and bang, he either has to waste bkb duration and get chain disabled afterwards (by that point there were 2 hexes and 2 ravages) or get linked up and end up with not enough damage to even kill nuked down ppd. So yeah, game was lost approximately few minutes before the rax bait actually.

It's like just because there's a couple good fights on a UFC card doesn't mean you'll watch it if the rest are shit, you know what I mean?
So while this is the game to watch, a lot of people might have not bothered watching today since Newbee vs Vici, and then another game vs them, which people on teamliquid generally refer to as generic teams. There simply aren't those stories that we had last year, going into Key Arena.
At least level of play has been as high as ever, so we can look forward to some good matches!

the fight in middle where DK horribly lost was the turning point, iceiceice kept using his combo to pick off people and was just basically a creep in any teamfight while supports were horribly underleveled and Mushi's DP couldnt deal enough burst to fight with EG's ursa + razor combo. Thats why burning had to go for manfight items like bfly, with bkb he could go thru ravages and stuff and stay long enough in fights that DP ulti would destroy EG.
DK had spectacular plays during the mid game though, that ravage bait on top lane was super sick but DK got complacent as hell and decided to play pickoff gaming instead of just grouping up and going straight for raxes. Granted they were legitimately afraid because of ravage though

Wow, suddenly 10 pages.
Well I guess someone said it, but DK used their bots to TP aggressively, while EG walked toward objectives and used their bots to TP defensively. Once EG saw that mushi avec other had TPed while they were near radiant mid, they just went for it, which was really smart.
Bonus points for Mushi trying to suicide tu rebuy but couldn't die fast enough to save his throne :D
