clutch defense by DK, somewhat uncharestically not safe highground breakthrough attempt from LGD.
I think their strategy is to dumpster bad Western teams (c) uriel

Lol and LGD continues the 1 1 streak. . DK still in good shape. I think they have a great shot at topping the group.
Btw anyone knows where the VODs are ? I missed RS vs LGD game 2 yesterday.

But yea, with Chinese teams no longer being the best it's obvious Western fans are going to go back to Western teams

Are you mentally handicapped to bring this in every thread again and again? Your reason is wrong.

You're mad over an obvious fact. Had the Chinese teams been a level above Western teams in Dota 2, you're going to see a greater amount of viewers, period. This is what happens in SC 2, it's what happens in LoL, and it's what happened in Dota 2 immediately after TI 2 when the Chinese hype was the greatest. The best region gets a lot of viewers on being the best; the rest of the viewers come from thrill seekers and team/player/region loyalists.

Look at other games. Yes, the bulk of Western viewers pay attention to Western events, and vice versa for Asian players to Asian events. But when it comes to interregional attention, the Korean scene gets a lot of attention because they're hyped to be the best. The Chinese did and still do receive a lot of attention due to performance in Dota 1 and TI 2. But look at SEA for what happens when a region isn't seen to be the best and isn't Western - minimal attention paid.

The problem with your logic is that regular Starladder matches without NaVi / Alliance often gather more viewers than BTS streams. Same with Tobi casting scoring over D2L. The argument about caster's charisma doesn't apply, so it leaves us with the most logical conclusion that people are tend to watch and rate for their regional teams, no matter how good they are compared to others. I don't understand why you do think this is the representation of minority's interests, when it happens all the time in every possible competetion in the world.

I have never seen LoL OGN stream beating LCS in numbers, and in SC2 case Korea dominates so much, that you are bound to see them everywhere, they are not islolated as Asia in Dota 2 case. On top of that, the difference between them and Westerns is execution, not playstyle (same may or not be applied to LoL, i dunno). The situation with SEA scene is different from viewers indifference- they have internal infrastructure issues.

You are forgetting timezones, they arent convenient for European viewers. BTS still get very decent numbers for instance there were 35k watching DK vs LGD while there were only 19k or so watching the first DH group games on the English streams.

Any recommended games yet?

I've skimmed through a few matches and the line-ups didnt seem too interesting. Hope I'm wrong because this is our last glimpse of asian dota until the silence before TI3.

It's not the last... DSL eliminations and playoffs, ESL LAN, and Alienware Playoffs all are left to play.

DK vs MUFC 2nd game, LGD vs RSnake 1st (Sylar Morph, old good long Chinese farming), DK vs LGD 1st (just for Dai Rubic awesomeness). But, all games so far have been a nice watch, try if you have time.

IIRC the number of Western viewers of Eastern's touraments have never beat Western's, even before G-1.

And if you think fairly a bit, as someone mention earlier, Chinese stream alone has 70k viewers, how many viewers does DH have? By your logic, best region gets most viewers? Or don't count the Chinese because they have small eyes?

The Western watch the Western's tourament, the Eastern watch the Eastern's tourament. Isn't it obvious? Why do you just have to bring up the West superior to the East just to piss people off?
