It's about the game type really. Fighting games do better in this type of tournament setup because of their nature, each match is "more exciting" and closer etc. In Starcraft it really feels that a 1 game or series advantage is way too much to overcome.

Which makes series significantly more boring


1 game advantage is ok, but something has to be done to give the winner bracket side an advantage since they haven't been eliminated once. I don't know if TI3 does that though.


The winner bracket has the advantage of not having to go through the losers bracket. Im sure its grueling

Not as much when you split up a tournament on this many days.


The other grand finalist has to potentially play 8 games back to back in one day; I think the half-day off for [A] is at least a bit of an advantage...

And all they need to do is NEVER DROP A SET....that's super easy. Wait, no, not at all.

That's the same thing that was shitty last year already. =(

It's how double elimination works in almost every thing. It's mean, but so is life. Single elimination is much worse for the teams.
