Dude is literally impossible to kill same goes for the tombstone If you are a good team you force the tombstone somewhere random and back up. 60s cd. If he plops it at a tower early game and has his team along. Just split push and trade towers. Wait until there is some items up to kill the tombstone or until you have to defend base. Basically, force the tombstone out, then don't take the fight until you have items. Or pick Gyrocopter and get early flak canon levels, killing all the zombies during the entire duration of the team fight. Making tombstone a non issue. Undying is also surprisingly simple to gank if he is far from backup, no escape skills. Just burst him as you would any strength hero.

My understanding is that treads favours heros that need better stats, while phase is meant for those who want extra chasing and damage potential.

I prefer treads on a lot of heroes in general (TA, Troll) most games because I'm either looking for faster right-click and/or to survive a nuke with STR treads on top of something like a wand. I don't really understand the concept of having both phase and blink.

Or is BoT one of those items that you only get on specific heroes?

BoT is a luxury item for late game when you don't really have money to spend on anything else, so you want to free up an item slot and not have to carry a TP around with you. deciding when to get BoTs as a carry is usually pretty difficult because they are expensive and you could be building up towards another item.

You've never had a game against a teamcomp where the majority of their team are heroes that you'd have to chase/get kited by, rather than ones that would stand and manfight you? If we're talking heroes like Drow/Sniper and squishier ranged supports, having slightly stronger man-fighting against them is not very meaningful because they'll virtually never stand and fight you, while chasing ability can matter a lot. It's usually not a decision based on your hero, because a lot of heroes can use both. It's a lot more dependent on the teams as a whole and whether the chasing power or manfighting ability are more relevant to the teams as a whole. You still often end up holding a Robe, Staff, or Point Booster, and those can be dropped to drink Bottle.

Dude is literally impossible to kill same goes for the tombstone Shadowdemon max skill Q+W first - Laningstage) The more strength he steals the more your disruptions do double damage. You force him to play undying differently which results in him dominating a lane less, maybe even opting for a wonky skillbuild resulting in less early game impact. - Midgame teamfights 1) Your disruption will probably also grab the aura to work in favor of your team for the duration of the illusions. Micro both illusions for the duration to buff your cores. - Midgame teamfights 2) Use the ultimate on other hero's but not undying. It doesn’t break or purge anything until undying has very expensive items. Better use it on their pos1 or pos2 hero to make sure they can rightclick less. And hopefully your laningpartner isnt a retard.

Illusions aren't spawned with Decay stacks since it's a temporary buff that illusions don't inherit. So no, using Decay on you does not lead to you getting stronger illusions from Disruption.

You can buy BoTs (but not sell treads yet) in preparation for switching treads to your final 6th slot item. Sell treads when you're ready to buy the 6th slot. But if your team is ahead, it's sometimes okay to walk around without a TP. (but if you don't understand when this applies you probably shouldn't do it) This was one never mentioned little detail before ward stacking was added this patch. The supports of the team that's ahead can walk around without a TP and have an extra slot for items (imagine your 5 position: boots, observers, sentries, smoke, teleport, + 1 item... it's a sad life)

(i very very very seldom cancel games too) The duration goes up very very fast. I recall once when I had to decline 3 times in a row due to people coming online. First was a few minutes, second like 15 min. Last one several hours (I switched account).
