Why should I pick KOTL on MMR games? (maybe show me some pros and cons. and some advantages he brings to the game. ty :D)

1) He is probably the best counterpush support in the game. A KotL who can keep himself alive can make it much more difficult for the enemy team to take objectives after a won fight
2) Played well and in the right lineups he can provide a lot of utility in team fights
3) With a decent laning partner he's an absolute fuck in the offlane
4) With aghs and gem he exerts ridiculous vision control
5) EZ farm
Cons:
1) Squishy as fuck
2) Everyone has an opinion on how you should be playing him and they are usually wrong
3) His utility in teamfights only goes so far and his carry potential is honestly quite shit. It can be done but it is usually shit
4) Going back to point 2, everyone thinks you are a mana battery and don't seem to understand that you actually also need mana to do anything INCLUDING casting the next chakra
5) lol right click lol

pro: you can jungle so you can play other games more efficiently while playing dota

KotL should be picked against pushing lineups to slow them down. It can also be picked with heroes that need mana but doesn't want to build it unless forced. So pretty much all nukers in the game. The new CD reduction makes this even more noticable.
KotL should be picked in a 20 min push strat if you rush aghs and somebody else does mek. The aghanim heal is very very strong and the TP to you means an ally can stop split pushing and get back easily.
KotL should be picked if you have a 4+1 strat where you just need to turtle to win. The KotL should run to lanes to TP in the +1 for more farm faster when not needed to stop pushes.
If none of the above is true, then only because it is a very fun hero to play. (Had a team mate random it and flame it for being boring the entire game. Made me sad.)

So, after seeing EG vs LGD game 1 now that i think about it. How legit wisp-abbadon-necro-bristle/dk + 1 (maybe furion, i dunno) draft could be? Obviously AA ban in second stage. On paper it sounds like unstoppable deathball that even keeps creeps at almost full HP (bonus points for double arcanes on wisp/necro).

For the ultimate fun go KotL, give mana to wisp that gives to necro for extreme mana regen. As with all deathballs, split pushing or enough burst is the way to go against it.
Imagine a Lina mid, QoP off lane, Gyro carry with WD + ES/SK supports. No matter what you do you won't survive that combo until late game when you have less carry potential.

An aspect about kotl that I see be neglected far too often is his ability to hinder splitpushing by having a teammate stay behind while you push with 4 and then when hitting the base port in whichever hero was on base defense duty. (As seen in EG vs Secret yesterday iirc).

With Wisp it gets even stronger. 1 on defence, get opportunity, wisp ulti in, Kotl ulti the first hero. 5v4 push due to dead split pusher.

That's one of those aspects that's great in competitive play, but harder to use in pubs, though. I mean, it's still a positive feature, but it's like pub Io in that it requires more coordination than your average pub lineup will consistently have.

Yeah Recall is a very powerful spell but I get yelled at half the time I use it because pubs are stupid.

Whats the point of Morph E-blade shotgun? Feels like im just wasting farm whenever I build that item on him as I feel Im spending 5000 gold to do something a Nyx could do with 2700. Is tehir something Im not seeing?

In addition to being a brusier carry marksman support, it also makes you a 100-to-0 burst mage
|
You want to use it to kill someone. You don't eblade a frontliner to kill them slightly faster, you eblade a backline squishy to instantly delete them from the fight before they can cast any spells. Then you rightclick the rest of the team to death with the agi it gives you.

Obviously Instant Kill which makes him more destructive on Mid-game. every morphling player knows that.
PS: (a little advice) don't compare a hero to another hero. they are all different in so many ways like roles, skill, help in team etc, etc, thats NOOB-ish
|
Comparing heroes is important. If you don't do that you will pick the worse of two options to do the same thing. There are many things to consider though, lanes, team fight, ganking, carry capacity, support spells, crowd control, anti push, push etc. Anybody that can do the 2-3 you need should be compared.

I guess you didnt get my point But dont get me wrong, your point is also correct. Its just that our opinions standpoint differs. I just dont know how to explain it
