do you mean when calibrating, picking zeus bc you do a lot of hero damage, it places you at a higher mmr after the calibration?
if so, the answer is no that does not work anymore.

practice! go into a lobby, get a hero like centaur and give him 6 hearts using console commands...get a eul's and work on your timing.
the sf euls ult combo is also significantly easier with a blink, both for blink into walking range -> euls -> ult and euls from max range -> blink -> ult
What's the ideal safe lane / jungle farming build for Faceless? I had some trouble farming on my first attempt with the hero. Got a ~10 min Midas but didn't have enough other stuff to make an impact in the game. Was laning with a Jakiro.
Is cogs to contest first rune worth it on Clock or should you level something else first?
cogs is almost always the first skill on clock its how u dont die and also how u block ur wave etc, its also very efficient for harassment if you can pull that off. leave it at level 1 until ur level 12
well if ur sumail u want a 3 min midas on void then bfury mom for ricing purposes if ur not sumail u want like 6min midas into maelstrom mom mjollnir probably. then buy up some king bars and a butterfly likely and go ham

How in God's name do you get a 3-6 min midas? What starting items? First time with the hero, I'm sure I can improve on 10 mins, but 3??? Heard from teammates around 7-8 is good.
http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/1297674214/farm 3:38 i guess, close enough. he got like first blood and second blood haha. 6 min is if you cs perfectly, I guess 8 is fine. 10 is definitely too late. void has absurdly high damage though so there's no reason not to CS well.
starting items are always situational but on a melee carry should almost always be stout tango (stuff) where stuff is either stats, more regen or a qb.

Get a glove and don't miss a single cs. You get ~24 creeps in three minutes, that's ~1080 gold, plus 100 passive gold every minute, that gives 1380 gold. You should have 125 leftover after glove, that's 1505 gold. One or two more creeps and you have a midas.
Seriously, 60 cs per 10 minutes is around 75% collection rate on lane gold and it's really easy to get if you focus on csing. That's about 2.5k gold already, add passive gold (1000 gold!) and possible bounty runes and you realize that midas boots null/wraith/bracer/wand is piss easy, even let's you miss 10 more creeps. People underestimate the power of precise csing, no wonder it's weird for them that pros get such good farm. You go for ganks when you are certain you will get the kill, not necessarily the last hit but at least end up salvaging/winning the lane for your teammate, otherwise just kill creeps constantly.

don't try this at home kids but yes that assists in showing how it's possible.

This seems very dangerous. Maybe if I have an Omniknight nearby haha.
even if you have an omniknight near by, its super dangerous especially in lower level pubs where people do unpredictable stupid shit.
I'd recommend doing what sn0_man said and go with tangos and some branches..but almost definitely a stout on a melee..depends on your lane (both enemies and allies)
remember that your midas takes ~18min to pay itself off so unless you're playing a carry that relies on levels and really only needs some attack speed and upgraded boots to get a kill (slark, faceless void come to mind), it may not be worth. and even on those heroes I mentioned it is still only situationally worth.

Honestly, I don't even bother contesting the offlane rune a bunch of the time. Everyone's so caught up standing on the rune that it's super easy to get a good ward because literally nobody watches their jungle anymore cuz there's 3 people standing on the rune spot waiting for it to spawn.
Get ward down cuz no one's looking, go back, cog in your creeps and then coast cuz they let you make your lane super ez for yourself just for the sake of 100 gold/xp.
If LodA would have done a shift blink + crush, would that have executed? Cuz the way I understand it, LodA thought that the blink would execute so he pressed crush, expecting that he would blink. But since Slardar was not facing the right way, Slardar had to readjust to blink, but before Slardar can readjust properly, Loda used crush which overrode the blink command.
either way, the bug was "fixed" according to valve. so hopefully this shit won't happen again. i've had a couple of instances where i just assumed i got my dagger cancelled which i guess wasn't the case. glad that's fixed.
Or perhaps you could say Loda got very unlucky. In Esportal Dota 2 League game #2 between The Alliance and Ninjas in Pyjamas, Loda reproduced the pathfinding bug at 18:26 game time. As Slardar, Loda had given a move to position order near some trees, and the generated path included an erroneous sharp turn at the very last step. Just as Slardar reached this last step, Loda activated his blink dagger. However, since Slardar was incorrectly trying to turn at the same moment, he was no longer within the required 11.5 degrees of facing the target position. Many players forget that your Hero does have to face towards the blink target before the blink actually starts. Exactly 0.07 seconds later, before Slardar had completed turning back towards the blink target, Loda cast Slithereen Crush, which replaced the blink dagger order. Sorry Loda!
i think i've read from valve blog that the loda incident wasn't the blink bug that occurred but rather a blink cancel if i'm reading this right
watch the video above. you can see slardar rotate just a bit before casting crush. that rotation was what cancelled the blink dagger command bc he was not facing the right way. so in a way it is a bug that it is being cancelled?
or are you saying there is another blink bug they have not addressed yet?
