Hey everyone!
For those who don't know me I help run the social media team for @TeamLiquidPro and @TeamLiquidLoL on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat. I saw this thread and wanted to take some time to ask for feedback so that none of the fans feel we aren't taking our dota coverage seriously. Our dota team is very important to us and I want to make sure we are doing the players right too.
For full transparency there is two major issues we have had. Back during the Shanghai major we messed up with game 1 and game 2 of the coverage. We messed up the timing of our posts and ended up missing a game 1 results tweet. The second issue happened this weekend when we didn't make a formal post on social media about Fata being sick. Unfortunately I knew they wouldn't be in the tournament but it wasn't until the weekend where I found out who it was that was sick and by then we were into full Dreamhack coverage so I made a judgement call.
On the positive side though, we spend resources on developing our YouTube with videos of the teams competitions, spend time promoting/writing articles , and making sure we don't miss any coverage on social media. The social media coverage (again for transparency) includes series updates on Facebook, game updates on Twitter, and pictures on Instagram. Although we are constantly expanding our coverage team we aren't at a point where the timezones have been very easy to cover but I can tell you I have woke up multiple times between the hours of 4-6am specifically to cover dota, Tephus has stayed up past 4am multiple times to pass the torch to me, and we have been hiring people in the EU/AU timeslot to help with this. Although we have made mistakes in the past we are never planning to drop the ball again.
Now my question to y'all is, is there something that we are missing that y'all want to see? Do you guys want to see more recap videos? More articles? More tweets a few days/weeks before we play? Please let me know so we can make sure our social media team is doing the best they possibly can.
Thanks! Caleb

Just wanted to echo those thoughts. Proud of our social media team but if you guys can point out things that we can do better we'd love to hear it.

To give my two cents to the bunch: I don't know if it's possible but I'd love to see more blog-style-posts about our 5Jungz. I always see so many posts of this sort about the CS and LoL teams but I've seen like 2 or 3 at most about the Dota squad. Just make them show a little life sign during bootcamping or off times. Also I'd love for someone to help FATA- with his livestreaming setupso he can honor us more frequently with Dotes and guitar :D

Thank you Cable and Nazgul for replying to us and asking for suggestions .
I would like it if you could share over the Teamliquid Twitter some Pictures and Videos from the Team while they're at a Tournament and like Baldurus i would really like it if the Dota Team would stream more @ Twitch. It would be a Dream if Kuroky would start streaming .

thx for replying guys. im a dota fan and i follow team liquidpro in twitter. everytime i enter twitter i hope to see something regardin dota team cuz i dont rly care aobut other games (i dont mind seeing tweets for other games i just scroll them) but i end up scrolling through like 2 or 3 cs go tweets a few lol and even street fighter tweets and i cant see dotka. i even enjoy seeing tweets from players but only matumba and jerax are active in twitter (not moonmender active but still active compared to other players in the team :D). and i assume its harder the create dota content cuz i know our captain character (kind of private guy) so i understand if its a little bit harder to contact with them and extract content but id love some more dotka spam in twitter. and about the streaming - ill always watch any member of the team if we streams no matter if other of my favourite streams are online.

Thanks for the attention! I would personally prefer stuff more like the retrospectives that Hbox gets after his wins, though I understand it probably takes a bit more time for a much longer and wider game.Either way, still a huge fan of the team (obviously)

Thanks for this opportunity
Personally, I would love some more pictures and videos from the team at tournaments or also at bootcamps. They are more than just 5 talented players, so getting a bit more insight into the people behind the players would be great.

Is it just me or is it astonishing that someone who runs social media things for teamliquid has 1 post on the teamliquid.net forums?

basicly these two. I know video coverage is a lot of work so if that's too much, especially for the players don't mind it but just some more inbetween pics or thoughts from the players would be really nice already. Be it some thoughts on the tournament they're at right now, their games/opponents or the food they're having right now
Tbh I feel like some really well thought out blog from Kuro about what they're doing is probably not what most people want to see. If anything that's just bothering them and taking time away they need on site. Just more casual inbetween stuff would go a long way.

Puh that was close. But Liquid won their first game.

We have plenty of staff that have a background on the sites, but I don't think it is at all realistic to expect it across the board.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone! Going to do some meetings about this.

Thanks for the opportunity for giving some input. Ofc I wish for a bit more coverage, interviews and so on, but I hate if it feels too forced and we all know out TL guys arent that much of spotlight personalities (so far) But hey maybe theyll soften up and idealisticly speaking, I would love if there will some day be an opportunity to involve one or the other TL player in our community nights. I think this would be next lvl family business

Dat Fata Alc O.o
On the above topic I would like some fun less serious tweets after awesome moments (think Empires twitter account). Its the idea of showing hype for TLDota not just talking about them, I feel like the hype is missing.
For instance after that last game I expected to see an all caps misspelled tweet about Fata Alc being to stupid ridiculous with a badly photo shopped picture of Fata on this guy

I can't get over how well Jerax is playing every game. Even with no net worth and in games they lose he still makes so many big plays.

just beautiful stuff from our boys! hope they can win this, would be fucking awesome;)

That's the nature of the hero though :D Earthspirit has the best skill set for a high level low gold game. JerAx is just hands down the single best player in the world on that hero, so he knows how to abuse this to its fullest potential.
