As someone new to the Dota 2 scene I just realized that there's a whole community over here. I'm always on the TeamLiquid subreddit so I didn't know these forums even existed. We've been getting more and more Dota2 threads over there but I see a lot of people here on these old-school forums, so I'm wondering if life's better over here or you just don't like Reddit? Regards, Anthony

Regards, Anthony probably how we grew up for most of us? I've been on TL ever since the Broodwar days and getting up before school to start up the torrent for korean vods so they'd at least be half done by the time I get home because shitty internet. So moving over to LiquidDota for Dota was just the natural thing.

Regards, Anthony As someone that's not a big fan of reddit I personally find it a lot nicer here. I really haven't been to the teamliquid subreddit, but like most of reddit I would assume it's a bit of an echo chamber. You'll definitely find more varying opinions and deeper discussion here, at least for the most part. One thing to note though, is that most of the people who come here aren't necessarily massive fans of the Team Liquid pro team. A lot of us are fans of course, although this has become more of a "dota" community as opposed to a "team liquid" community these days. The community isn't as big/active as it once was, although I would say its still fairly alive and more tight-knit at this point. A lot of people that post here have been around for 10-15 years (before the TL pro teams were even a thing).

Still terrified about the EG match in 5 hours though. They made a full lower bracket run when they won TI7 too. It's a good sign lol

Probably still not fair but I guess it makes the whole situation a lot less bad. Good to know the old team's supposedly still on friendly terms though. Heard the casters talking about matu wanting to recreate the death stare moment. Too bad they never made it on stage :[ [EDIT since I'm the last post anyway and posted 15 minutes into game 2] Miracle playing flashy heroes again is a good sign...

I hope this form will last for the next couple of days at least Liquid got body doubles to play for Liquid in the group stages so they could hide their strats for the lower bracket. Nobody can tell me anything different
