I have faith in Puppey. The reaction to the lineup is pretty hilarious, we'll see how they do. But from my perspective they'll be a very interesting team to watch. I expect Misery to do very well in his role, I wouldn't be surprised if PLD comes back stronger when he gets to partner with Puppey. I haven't followed w33 that closely, but this is his big chance to really start his pro career, interesting to see how he does.

I somehow remember w33 playing with BB and he was very good! Most of the time though I thought the rest of the team couldn't keep up... maybe with that team around him it works!

I like this secret. Puppey is assertive and spoken out enough to reign in some C9'isms. PLD is a solid 5 so puppey can go back to being a real jungle 4. Misery is a decent offlane.

It'll just depend on how w33 can work in the team, and if C9 + puppey can keep direction lategame and not go too far to the C9 side.

I found this EEnteresting.
EE have unpredictable move when game goes wrong. PLD trusted by EE, hope its work. Misery had play with both C9 and Secret before, so they know his capabilites. I cant say much about Puppey, he is awesome. And w33, his self decision making as a pubstar really needed when communication goes bad.

Might give EE some space to focus on just farming and objectives and leave rest of shot calling to Puppey if he's the one to captain again. In that case should hopefully see less EE plays.

There was an interresting interview with S4 on Drayich's youtube channel and there S4 spoke about the leadership and drafts in Team Secret. And S4's point was basically that he was the captain and drafter, but Puppey and Arteezy had strong opinions on what heroes should be picked and often he was lazy and said "that sounds good lets do that" instead of thinking himself. So it felt abit like he thought he should have said "im captain I decide this" more, because sometimes he would regret the draft and felt like this was not the best pics. He didn't give any examples or anything, but sometimes if everyone wants to play a certain hero, then the lineup gets worse without synergy than if a captain picks 5 heroes that works together.
I have looked at some of Team Secrets drafts from TI5 and in my opinion in the last two games vs Virtus Pro they didn't have enough lockdown for the Stormspirit and they lost those two games in the drafting and maybe the draft was bad because of what I wrote above.

That seems to be a pretty common problem. Imo Aui put it well in Thorin's interview. I think he said something like noone can really draft or captain ingame alone, as multiple smart players together will generally have a much better grasp of everything than one single individual. But what he said about PPD is that at least in his view PPD was extremely good at listening to what everyone had in mind and quickly realizing whether to ignore it or how to integrate the hero into their gameplan.

I would imagine in the new Secret Puppey will be the clear captain, but obviously also other players will have their input and their own opinions. Interesting to see how it goes.

I think having a lot of potential captains in a team is hard
cause at some point all the captains wants to take over
specially when the team is failing
and thats what happened at TI5
pressure that they are the faves and internal issues catching them
they cracked in the biggest stage of dota2
