This game is not the kind you can explain so easily, the factors are many and not constant, it hasn't always to do with the player. We see it in Suma1l, former-former best player in the world (currently blaming Icefrog), we see it in Miracle, former best player in the world (yea, the title changes hands every week if not every day). People has to stop this non sense. s4 is a beast, has always been a beast and will always be. He may grow old and his reflexes may be slower, but how he shines in a team that is winning and how he doesn't stand out in a team that is doing ok/poorly has not always to do with his form. Just wait until patch 6.87, if Icefrog turn the tables again, and if [A] goes down I want to see who is to blame and under which pretext.

You're totally right in that performance comes down to a huge amount of factors, such as patch and how their teammates are performing and etc., but still - you can't deny that sometimes players play better than at others, or that s4 has recently played his best Dota since Alliance originally dominated. I don't see what's so wrong with calling that "in form".

Naaa, yea, their performance fluctuate, but people tends to use only and always that as an argument to justify their team doing poorly or godly. When bad times come people just blame it on their least beloved player and for good times their most loved is always the key. We will see what happens in this thread in a month if they don't keep up or other teams catch up. I just like to read something more deep than "oh look who is on form again!", like... right the game is the same and it has nothing to do with it. But you explained it already, no point on repeating your words. Just look at AB, after TI3 many argued his hero pool was smaller than mine, right now with his two best heroes back in the game and two years to practice other heroes and fill holes in his play suddenly his hero pool back then was larger... coherence, that is what I ask.
