Yeah it's abit unreal. Especially in the speed in which they got from really bad to top team. I really hope they can stay on the top too. If they place top 4 in majors I'm impressed for real, but I hope they will stay to be a top contender for a while! Also I hope for liquid to find their synergy again. Feels like something is off there... They need to fix whatever they need to fix. Hope for them to be at least top 6 in Majors.
the interesting thing about alliance recent success is, that they win with normal strategies. they dont rely on rat that much anymore. after 6.86 came out, i was thinking they will start sucking again, when 6.87 comes out. im not so sure about that now. makes you wonder, why they were so bad for 2 years.
Most of Alliance 2016 wasn't alliance most of 2014/2015, only the team name. There was a time where A was Akke+4 so. Them sucking for 4 years had alot to do with fiding the synergy again. They had a short successful run last spring, but that's all she wrote. So glad it works again, with alot of different strategies. Really enjoying CD tho. Just for the insane amout of rare heroes you see.

Till TI4, they got top 4 in every tournament they played in (except one starladder). It's a myth that Alliance did bad after TI3, they just weren't winning everything like pre-TI3 but it's just normal, i don't think we will ever see another team that dominant.
The struggle began when s4 and EGM left and it's kinda normal, i'd say.

Yeah like Zea said. 2014 wasn't a bad year for A,it wasn't great either, but saying they sucked is a real far stretch. They declined from their dominance during 2013 ofc, but that's due to alot of reasons. According to A them selves they felt unbeatable, which made them practice less and also underestimate their opponents. Competition generally got alot harder, and all eyes were on alliance since they were the team to beat. This in conjuction with nerfing key heroes to the ground made it hard for them to keep up. Ti4 was a fail event considering their earlier dominance, but with all components added togehter, splitting up probably was the only way to go. From there the real decline started and no stable roster until fall 2015 really.

Im speechless after their games against Vega. It was not even them playing well it was just Alliance completely falling apart making every wrong descision possible. Haven't seen them this clueless in awhile. Hope they can work on it.

Not even bothered by the games , those drafts were crazy bad , game 2 was a crazy bad draft , it happens you cant prepare for a CD

Yeah ofcourse it doesn't mean anything. It's captains draft but you have to admit even it wasn't just the drafts. Their positioning was way off.
The major starts in 9 days already with the group stage. Unless you were being confident and thought Alliance getting to the finals is a foregone conclusion, in that case it would be closer to 20 days..
