Yeah they had a lot of kills, but Secret farmed efficient and was close. Then EG fucked Rosh up again, Secret got out of controll and EG tilted

Im not good enough at dota to see what is wrong... Can someone explain what is happening ![]() Tbh I dont feel Cr1t is the problem, he is not at GH lvl or anything like that atm, but he was trying to be creative and make things happend. Sumail still demolishes 1v1 lanes, but he doesnt seem to know or care what to do after 15 mins... the old Sumail would just go around and kill people... Why doesnt he do that anymore? Is it all because he's sick of this patch? Fear looked rather weak... He was on a Dazzle, but still... Universe and Rtz both look solid, but seem a little lost in the mid game. Miss seeing Uni on real initiators like Enigma and Void etc . Im frustrated seeing my fav team like this, so im ranting ![]()

Really disappointing that they have seemingly given up on this patch, but to be fair fear coming in and crit changing roles is a decent change. Guess we’ll see how things go next patch, and it very early in the season.

a lot of the teams are usually built up as a combined hybrid of heroes that can start a fight and move together well. not really possible either to do something like safelane centaur either even with different lane setups. it's quite easy to delay games and out-scale those heroes' usefulness. as for EG vs secret (eg's botched highground attempt after consecutive ember pickoffs) this felt rushed and out of overconfidence especially since they had 0 vision on the map at that very moment. it was a bad use of time to 5-man using not particularly strong 5-man heroes only to chip a t3 that they can take easily later into the game. next patch will probably give some extra room for laning. the importance of levels is already quite well balanced across the positions/heroes.

Also the Chikz pick is an out of meta, he was great in laning phase, and early mid game, because he was good at ganking. But is solo target so don’t farm well. Also they lacked initiation and stun, and seem like they could not use his invisibility as initiation for group fights. For me Weaver could do much the same but give them some tankiness that they needed, and is much more in Meta. I would have preferred with a stun. But again they could have had that is they weren’t stuck with a Jakiro offlane.

But to get to that snowballing stage like they did, rtz and sumail were at one stage 2k up on Jugg and like 3/4k up on Ember to not be able to take all T2 and press high ground properly was questionable. Then instead of chasing midone or jugg around the map they just didn't. Also they got Aegis, didn't take all T2 and then decide to attempt high ground with <30 seconds left on Aegis timer? Why on earth xD Forced buyback on rubick but have to run away because Rtz aegis expired, if that still had 1 minute left they might have been able to do bigger damage there. Issue is, if we can see a bit of these problems time after time again what aren't EG seeing. Sumail said in his interview in Bucharest he felt EG were the best team going into that tournament and they expected to win and look what happened...So it not like they "aren't" trying or anything they think they are doing alot of right things and it clearly isn't working. I hope they fix some stuff vs Fnatic because losing to them in a bo3 today will be pretty embarrassing.

My biggest complaints: 1) Lack of playmaking 2) Bad vision 3) Rosh fights I don't think the drafts have been a huge deal. I do agree that dazzle was an awkward pick, but there is a little benefit to graving DP with exorcism up. Do any of you guys think that game vs Secret would have been different if EG drafted LD instead of clinkz? I'm surprised they didn't pick it up, since Arteezy is great on the hero.

I don't really like lifestealer so much now personally, think it would have been awful. Only ES as infest bomb. Have seen lifestealer often running around without hitting anything. For me i would have picked Terrorblade, or DK as safelane (have seen it before) or CK but think it was banned.

Think you are 100% spot on here with that.

Well another thing about these boys and maybe most players in general is that they have too much control over the team. What I mean is a team, as in every single team sport, needs someone to push them to get every ounce of that player that he has to offer. The thing with Dota or lets just speak about EG here, is that when someone pushes them, ala PPD for example, they get pissy and do what they can to not respond and either leave the team or kick the player. This isnt an argument about how PPD left the team but I mean we've all heard about how the players for the most part didnt get along and we know ppd is that kind of person/player. Im not even the biggest ppd fan I'm just stating that he is the kind of person that pushes people to get the most out of that player and most of these guys are either too young or immature to recognize that they do need to be pushed otherwise you end up with exactly what EG is now; a gathering of 5 super talented dota players that clearly just arent working together at the level needed to win tourneys. Im open to criticism but does anyone actually disagree with the main point im trying to make here? Maybe I didnt word it or express it correctly but I think its enough. What i noticed is that the players don't look very happy, not smiling alot. Even Chinese teams smile more then EG now. Dota is a game you are allowed to have fun.

Looks like money and fame was not good for their personality, they are very young and need help handling it. When i see them play in a tourney i allways think, wow they all look so toxic and unhappy.
