Yeah it was like a puck hero for EG, where it was played 1 through 4, pottm can do the same but i was just more concerned due to rtz playing 1000 games on it lol.

I guess what I'm curious about, is why it always seems so obvious to the other team that EG is taking Roshan?

This was a problem during the last season with Crit as captain and has been a problem vs better teams for EG.

LGD played really well, but still Sumail hasn't looked like his old dominant self in a while, and they are often losing the vision game. Also drafts could be better. Hopefully the new patch will be more suited for them :I

I think the drafts were fine. LGD simply played better.

i kinda have to agree that drafts could be better, apart from the fact that LGD did play better, that LS pick 2nd game is kinda questionable, and dont forget that jakiro mid pick.

kinda expected this result, knowing that Mineski has been very strong and LGD did not change their roster (correct me tho), 3-4th isnt a bad result, EG got their QPs.

Let's see how they fare in the Major, with a lot of big names.

Storm was just never ahead enough. Also, that arrow that hit Sumail on the Dire shrine was the nail in the coffin. TB caught up. If TB died, LS never would've died; a completely different game.

OK so you can go back a few pages and see that I called this stuff. Everyone here is right, it's the drafts, the players, I'm pretty sure as an EG fan that this result is possibly the best we're gonna see untill something changes. The drafts actually pissed me off b/c I want them to win so badly and sometimes they just dont make sense. It's the weirdest thing b/c this lineup can just completely demolish a team like the Drow/Visage lineup and then just throw up the biggest headscratching stinkers like the LGD series. I don't know what that means completely but one thing I do know, this EG has serious problems but b/c they squeaked out a 4th place tourney, (only /bc they "got" to face VGJ twice,) they somehow arent being looked at like they are the big problem that I believe they actually are. And I 100% believe when this major is over they will place in the bottom 4. We will see and I totally hope they don't but I just don't feel good about these guys right now like they may need to split and move on or maybe RTZ needs a team built around him where Sumail plays second fiddle which we know won't happen, thus the split suggestion. Sorry for the sloppy writing it's just I felt this needed to be said and only had a few minutes. Fingers are crossed for the majors regardless, but this time, for maybe the first time, I'm going in with the lowest expectations as an EG fan yet.

Eg threw the game with that rosh attempt. I think they were comfortably ahead to win the game.

Overall though never was and still am not convinced by fear as captain. I doubt this lineup will go far.

The first minors were a practice for the major. Besides, it's a new captain, with an overplayed patch. The season really starts when the first major after 7.07 hits. Remember liquid didn't even qualify to Boston Major but started dominating in 7.06.

Crits wisp is okay but that's not enough to pick it
His earth spirit was also kinda adequate but nowhere near the 4pos gods so

Same with fear drafts okay, not great

Top4 here ia just fine , they need time and hard work

I hope they stick together and hit their stride just for TI8, I can accept losses and substandard play as long as it leads to better performance in the future.

That being said, I'm hyped for the ESL Major, and right off the bat we get EG vs Secret el classico

They got points from last lan, getting points in major is a minimum and aslong as they keep doing that im sure they be accepting it more. If they crash out of major without points questions might be asked.

Also it's a bo1 of EG vs Team Secret as for some reason a major is having all first group games of each group a BO1... xD

Am I the only one who doesn't mind the first set of BO1s? It's not ideal, but it's not a deal breaker either. The rest of the tournament is BO3; a team still needs to lose 2 BO3s to get knocked out of the tournament with no points. The first set matters the least.

Well i never liked BO1 due to the randomness in any esport any of them, any team can take a map or game off any opponent, just because of the way the games work.
It isn't like football or basketball where a college team would be destroyed by an nba side, or the local pub side being able to go toe to toe with Real Madrid, it doesn't work. But a team that has qualified for a major tournament whether it be Keen Gaming or Team Liquid all have the chances to take a game off one another, not a series no, but a game for sure.

That's the only reason i don't like it, also the schedule for things is just a mess so far in these tournaments.
