In other news, Complexity has a chance to get a direct Invite now. Since there's otherwise going to be no NA invites.

Complexity, Na'Vi, Vega and LGD all have a chance from ESL One Frankfurt, to lock down an invite. And, really, Alliance probably just secured one with the drop-outs of Secret & EG.

In other news, I think we can conclusive say that the 3rd Major Through TI roster lock was a complete failure.

Curveball valve don't give a shit and EG Secret still get invites cuz viewing figures XD

But yeah i hope EG and Secret are forced to go into qualifiers, especially for EG as i think now we deffo need games and alot of them. Considering Zai is just like Fear and can play alot of heroes putting him on Wisp like taf said means we have another strat to scare people into banning against us or even just using. We are not going to ESL Frankfurt either we are going to NanYang, BTS 5 and probably StarLadder as it is in the US. That is the only lans atm that are options for EG with 2 pretty much confirmed (NanYang and BTS5 due to reigning champs)

Imo the roster lock isn't that bad for direct TI invites. The invites go out so soon after Manila that imo it's fine to demand you keep the same lineup since March. But I don't think the roster lock should apply to main qualifier invites.

For example there could have been a team that goes through open quals, even gets to Manila. But under the current rules they wouldn't be eligible to get a main qual invite spot for TI? It doesn't really make sense.

Why because 2 teams decided to go full retard ? mainly RTZ + uni who started it all .... I like it alot it helped other teams stay together for sure , and if Valve really stick to their own rules and send those teams through open qualifiers and they somehow mess up it will only strength the roster locks and will reduce the number of breaking up reforming which if you look at EG was what they ended up with , the TI championship roster ....

Yeah 3 majors and TI from August - August seems pretty easy to have equal time between them all no?

Fall Major - October
Winter Major - January
Spring Major - April
TI - August

Gives bigger gap to organize the biggest event in ESPORTS, lets not forget due to how much the thing is worth now.

Yeah, probably 1) Valve didn't have their shit together for october 2) League finals are in october I think

I think with the way things are it should be only 2 majors. With final locks before major 3 there should be the biggest gap between major 2 and 3. Then it begs the question, why have major 3 at all if TI is right after? But I think this is all moot, I don't see a world where the system stays the same next year.

Also, it just dawned on me how Valve will probably deal with this. They'll increase the number of Open Qualifier spots. If they bring in 2 Qualifers per Open Bracket, with 6 Regional Invites, that'll work better. Even the Chinese invites for Manila were stretching for those last 2 invites.

Wow if the news are correct i am really impressed that Aui has made a really big mistake in joining EG without securing himself against a kick. I would have been afraid because of the avaibility of Zai at the time Aui joined EG. He did not perform on carry but a kick would be extremly harsh. Next question is, what Aui will do for TI. DC again? New Team?

The spreaded rooster should give EG a good chance to go through the qualifier. If DC will be the invited team for the NA-Region their is only Col to beat and they did not look good at this Major. But maybe other team are tempted to change things up too. The qualifier will be intense for sure.
