Facing off against the winner of EG vs Rave to determine who progresses further in TS3. Should be a win for EG so I predict a rematch between them again, question is how well EG will perform if they learned from their mistakes and get focused again. C9 dominated them in their first series, would be nice to see that continue on.

judging from the history of how this two teams usually play .. the 2nd time they meet c9 should almost always lose

actually after that last series yesterday with FATA EE and N0tail casting

It makes me wonder why they still let EE draft, I know it's close to TI but I feel like they should let N0tail or FATA draft in a tournament or two.

just a thought

I dunno I feel like EE may have better ideas but can't formulate it into words easily. Which is fine, as long as he understands what everyone else is saying, he can make a draft in his head.

Because they trust him in the drafter's seat? Different c9 members have said on several occasions that they all give input and draft pretty collaboratively. My impression is that EE is the one who is willing to spend the necessary time going through the picks teams do and thinking about the drafts, and then everyone gives their input during the actual draft. Also in one of the more recent EE streams / Q&A's (forgot exactly where he said this), he said that n0tail has been drafting in quite a significant part of their scrims so that they try out whatever crazy ideas he has.

EE wanted to let FATA draft when FATA first joined, but FATA screwed up his first couple drafts in officials because he didn't prepare well.

If I recall correctly the last time he drafted was against VP. FATA didn't ban out G's tinker and they got beat pretty bad. FATA ragequit before the gg was called.

I feel like that second game really messed with EE's head. You could see on cam he was upset, even with the win. I think EE is such an emotional player (which isn't necessarily a bad thing) but anything that messes with his confidence sends him down a spiral.Still they did really well this tournament. They're improving very rapidly. Changing who drafts might not be a bad idea, but I think they just need more practice with this patch.

I doubt they feel themselves they did well given the result. The series against VG wasn't good, and against EG what mattered was who went through and EG won the series that mattered more. I mean of course EG is a strong team so there's no "shame" in that, but that really doesn't matter. It is also a new patch of course, but still I can't imagine c9 being happy with anything but winning an event and I doubt anyone wants to hide behind that. They've had enough "respectable" finishes. But I didn't yet see the last series against EG so can't really comment on the series itself.

c9 still plays that MarsTV event and ESL before TI, and also there's Dotapit to finish I guess. Interesting to see how things go in the future.

Frustrating. Doesn't feel like they have what it takes for TI. They have all the tools to skip on past EG. b largh.

Agreed. For the first time in 2 years, since liquid had the Rattlesnake flair, I am seriously considering removing my flair. I will probably still cheer for them at some level, but they have broken my heart one too many times. I was away on a business trip to India, but still woke up at 3 AM to watch C9 get clowned on for the the probably the last time.

Not bothering with this shit anymore rofl.

I mean honestly it's really new into the patch and things just happen when you're facing a bunch of top teams. I mean EG did win DAC.

Still salty as a fan though. De Gea better not leave me
