True, RTZ played really well for them at MLG, but I think what's more relevant is how well they all played versus how they have in finals recently. We know they can match it with the best, they just have a habit of playing like shit when it matters. As far as Sing v Arteezy, its kinda hard to compare as they're pretty different players. Purely in a 1v1 sense, I think RTZ might be a bit better, but overall as solo mids? Hard to say. Arteezy always plays a super farming oriented play style, where as Sing only really does that on SF and TA. More often than not he tries to be active around the map with his supports when he plays Invoker, Ember, Potm etc. So yeah, they both have very different roles within their team most of the time.
Eh, I'm pretty sure Singsing deep down would admit that rtz is better, tho singsing is no slouch.
I feel like C9's problem right now is that they don't play with enough confidence. The individual talent and teamwork is there, but they aren't good at fighting from behind - they're not a scrappy team.

I feel like confidence/composure is the biggest issue. As you say, the individual talent is there, but when the pressure is on the execution drops. I also think they have a tendency to out draft themselves from time to time. Rather than back themselves to do what the do best, they'll go with some weird draft that just ends up being a mess. Easy to criticise in hindsight though of course.

PLD could be the worst Mario Party player... ever

Man, lately Bone7 has just been amazing.
He doesn't feed, but in all games I've seen he's had a massive impact, making absolutely incredible plays and synergizing well with rest of his team. With singsing, bone7 and the rest C9 is actually becoming a team to root for!

Bone7's Tidehunter against Empire in ESL One Qualifiers was amazing. Hope they pick it more for him. Empire even respect banned it in the second game of that series after what happened in game 1 lol.
Also about EE's PA, I find it funny that you only have to do well on a hero normally considered shit a few times against high profile teams for other teams to be scared of it. Empire banned it in game 3 after what happened in game 2 with it.

I think it makes sense. When the other team picks an unusual hero and does well, it probably means they've thought their strategy through and practised it many times. It's hard to come up with a counter within the span of a series so the safest thing to do is just to ban it out.

Farming Jakiro new meta? Awesome series against Empire

Bone 7 is basically "the offlaner".

Best of luck in WPC boys.

Can they actually come back from such a terrible group stage? or are they just going to get walked over by iG?
|
I think they are trying to be too funky with their drafts. I don't think they lack skill or teamwork, just experimental drafts. Maybe if they play standard they can fare better
