My quick investigation suggests that the guy is not the same person. His writing style is completely different from EE's (not sure what part of his posting seems similar to you anyway?). Also this is a halo forum, and pretty sure at that time EE was playing HoN pretty actively, at least I've never heard of him having any interest in halo.

Also there's this post http://www.halowars.com/forums/post/934174.aspx seemingly suggesting that it's either that guy or the nick is some sort of a troll making fun of that guy, idk. In general the account owner seems like a troll, and as I said the writing style doesn't resemble EE in any way.

Fear has played for a long time, not sure what his motivation is. Also he has his hand issue, not sure how serious it is at the moment.

has he not played for ages? all his games have been terrible, bad awareness, bad ulties. :S if it wasn't envy i'd just think random 5k pub. doesn't turn rp, get's first rune and tp's bad mid to block wave, blocks too much and misses entire cs of the first wave due to tower hits...damn
