With the 2x rune change, random roshan remains one of the most wildly rng mechanics that can completely decide a game for dumb reasons. Exciting RNG is okay, but Rosh RNG is a very monotone boring way to say "oh welp they got unlucky and now are fucked"

Rofl LC sucked alot if she didn't get off to a fast snowball start. Like, really badly. She could recover but she needed to stay ahead of the opposing carries to stand a chance in late game. Duel nerf was big time, now she can't solo heroes like Void or PA late game. The deny thing is a huge deal; Arteezy might have been bitching left and right about it, but there's a reason why laning phase got continuously shortened patch after patch. If you have a long enough laning phase, heroes like Dusa, AM, PL, Spectre, and other ultra lategame carries start to become much more viable, and the game becomes triple cores with one ultra late game core and two midgame cores to stall. And no, you do not want to see 60 minute slowdeath Dusa animations ever. Like, ever. The people who enjoy that type of meta/gamestyle are truly crazy.

It does pure rather than magical damage now so it's a very small damage nerf. Pre-patch it effectively did 22.5/37.5/52.5 compared to 20/35/50. The fact that it no longer disables passives is the real nerf; not the damage nerf.

I'm glad that they've added new mechanics for getting back on track with farm and xp---advantages still seem pretty meaningful and lineups can still snowball but it makes following through on a good start require just a little more consistency and makes losing a teamfight at the other team's T3 (for example) much costlier. Also love the Void change, I felt like he did too much and while he's still super annoying, his ult is no longer an AOE Doom with True Sight. Tinker change seems fine to me, he has so many ways of farming that taking the ancients away from him is pretty reasonable. Also the Eblade nerf makes a lot of sense. I'm a little surprised that Blink is only 100 gold more expensive, but oh well. They needed to buff the price, and they did. So now my super duper reliable and well-informed predictions. Void becomes a more situational pick in both the safe lane and offlane, with the balance eventually shifting to the safe lane. Overall popularity goes down, which leads to a resurgence in previously "Tier 2" offlane heroes. In particular, Timbersaw, with Abaddon and Phoenix seeing a little more time in the spotlight as well. Tinker nerf scares a lot of people away from playing him, until they realize that Sheepstick still works and he can still farm the jungle. The bounty rune makes up for some of the lost gold from ancients anyway. Chen finds a spot in certain snowballing lineups and many more pub games, where his ability to push quickly, farm effectively, scout and grab the bounty rune, and eventually control Ancients (come on giant lizard with damage buff; the "new wolves") gives him even better late game scaling. Bounty Hunter has an identity crisis, cannot decide if he is an offlaner or a support; eventually realizes that, with bounty runes and track gold, it doesn't matter. Crystal Maiden makes a triumphant return as aggressive position 5 support! QoP , SF, and Juggernaut get picked more for the midlane. The nature of lineups themselves change; map control between the lanes becomes exponentially more important due to Roshan change and new rune, supports now always have money for wards, and, as snowballing lineups decline in popularity, we see a renaissance of the great solo gankers.

Nope, listen to no one and make the game what you want it to be. Of course liten to people(see all the tinker nerfs and push nerfs), but don't listen to a bunch of arm chair designers who haven't even played the new patch. Or pros who will always find something to complain about.

Yeah, with the spell damage type changes they lowered the numbers on a lot of spells that got converted to pure damage. If they did the same amount and are completely unmitigatable now they'd do way more damage. So while the numbers are lowered, the fact that the person will take 100% of the advertised damage balances it out. Doom claimed to do 30/50/70 before, but when you account for 25% natural magic resistance it actually never did that much anyway. I'm super pumped to try this patch out. Yes, it's for "official games" not pubs.
