Hell, you can even run PotM for the mirror, or go to oldschool Beastmaster.
No race is really the most difficult. It's just a matter of what you've practiced. Orc is tough until you've mastered Blademaster harass, and then it gets a lot easier. So it goes.

I've played 6 games this patch and still haven't seen a techies. I feel so blessed.

I think the only good UD player ever was Lucifer, and even then he got stomped by Moon and Grubby a lot. UD vs Orc was awful as well as your base had to be set up just right or he could come in and kill all your acolytes in no time flat.

Undead is unwinnable versus Orc, but that doesn't make it more mechanically challenging than Orc. You're misinterpreting the question.

UD was the best shit for beating up semi-competent friends with, though. Open Crypt Graveyard, fast Crypt Fiends w/ Death Knight. That's basically impossible to stop for anyone without good anti-aggression fundamentals, which really aren't that easy to learn.

Most casters are cancer. I just like watching fast paced game play. However the meta does need to slow down a tad. ? casters are good but the games are cancer

The pro meta isn't that bad. We're still seeing some new things. Carry Leshrac and Enigma have been getting some momentum recently.

It will shift, we saw the most ball's out Zeus in that last game with EG. That was pretty good.

Well, that always happens towards the end of the patch's lifespan... It's really funny tho how quickly people forget. Now people are saying "oh man, the kotl + pl was so fun compared to this fucking razor!!" before the same people were saying "fuck cancer lancer, I liked seeing morphling in every single game, that was much more fun!!" and when morph reigned it was "guys, AM in every game wasn't actually that bad, I'm sick of looking at this shit morph every game." I'm not sure I got them in the correct order, but you get the idea.
Come on people, this is one of the most action packed and most varied meta we've ever had. Just because the patch is running a little long doesn't mean the game is becoming boring and it's worse than it's ever been. Just don't be idiots.

The patch hasnt really been running that long at all.

I am ok with everything in the meta with the exception of Void and Brew. They are both kinda boring as shit right now for different reasons. Beyond, its pretty amusing.
|
Honestly speaking, this patch is probably one of the best so far.
We have seen a lot of versatile drafts and etc.

Wasn't TED the guy Burning asked advice for his UD play?

Yes. That's why there is so much hate. Because everyone has this or that Hero that they hate, and because everything is picked, everyone complains.

Yes, the patch is very much running long compared to other ones, I have no idea what you're talking about.

Go back further, 3 months for a completelly new patch is fast for Dota standards, maybe it was because of the huge changes that were made in 6.79. But traditionally, you shouldnt expect like 4-5 patches a year.
Several patches have gone this long, we will probally get another one in the upcoming months, but this one hasnt been excedingly long. Last year, around the same time, it took like 5 months for 6.79.
If we had gotten a patch a month ago, and another one a couple of months from now, keeping the pace, it would have been a really fast year, patch wise.
