Sure win rates are not everything, but when tinker has one of the lowest professional win rates in 6.81 (17th lowest), heck Team Tinker barely picks Tinker nowadays. Are we WoTC now? Nerfing alternative strategies because they are 'unfun' and 'non-interactive'?

Competitively nobody cares but in pubs dear god that hero Please don't cite dotabuff winrates for that hero either, when 90% of games are played so deep in the trench you can't even find them, and by players who clearly can't press enough buttons to play wraith king much less tinker. His "most common" build on dotabuff is 4-4-0-0 like jesus fuck.

I think just a flat blink nerf would be fine and see how tinker does in the wild world of the new meta. I mean, if LC is added to captain's mode, she could make his life a living hell. Also, I am with Snow-man, we can't cite games played by people who can't press buttons, which is critical for winning at dota.

So unlike most stuns, he won't be able to zip away instantly after since the entire time he is being nailed with auto attacks, putting blink on cool down. It also has a really low cast point, so its harder for him to blink away from it than most other forms of CC that have a cast point and then travel time.

Nerfing alternative strategies because they are 'unfun' and 'non-interactive'? This is like saying that Earth Spirit shouldn't have been nerfed because his his pub winrate was low. Hint: it wasn't, not among players who knew what the fuck they were doing.

This isn't storm who "zips" away its a hero with blink dagger, an item which unlike all the heroes you hilariously wrongly describe as "0/low cast point" actually has 0 cast point. LC's grade A useless vs tinker. Blademail LC is pretty solid against Tinker. Some catch-out potential and then punishes the hero later in the game. Not as good as Doom or whatever, but hey.

People have this absurd tendency of thinking of nothing but balance, but patches in Dota have been less about balance and more about changing the game for ages. Go back to almost any old hero rework and you can find a change that was the result of a hero being “not fun“ or “not very interactive“.

I would say he's more viable than he was pre "nerf" There were two nerf patches, the one with the adition of the cast point to overpower, and the one where they added the cast point to overpower, at a point where he was messing a lot with it.

Earthshock used to have an annoying cast time compared to what it is now.
