This is kind of off topic but has anyone noticed how defensive the LoL community has gotten since Dota 2 was announced?
Every time I visit r/Dota2 any post critical of LoL or Riot gets downvoted into oblivion. In random reddit gaming posts a LoL player will usually come out and give his "expertise" for people who haven't tried MOBAs. Some guy wrote that LoL was a more popular esport than Starcraft 2 in North America (which I find absolutely hilarious). I know that LoL players are passionate guys who love their game but the "Dota 2 threat" seems to have united them against anything critical of LoL.
I can appreciate the guys who are genuinely interested in trying Dota 2 (or have tried it and decided it isn't for them) but there are some people who go out of their way to shit on other games (Starcraft 2 included).
Reading some of this stuff gets depressing. It's like meeting a new generation that was introduced to Star Wars through Episode I and having them argue fervently why it's a better movie than the original.
But I suppose if this is all a nervous reaction to the Dota 2 hype then we can start getting excited.
They're getting anxious...

So did any other TLer try to make a clan? Like, a TL clan? I do feel that, because of the actual properness of this community, we could make a rather good clan.

Played 5 games today, have to say I think it plays perfectly, like I seriously can't come up with a single complaint about the actual game.

Ethereal Blade is almost a must late-game on Nerubian Assassin, and it's ok on:
Venomancer (in fact, it's usual to see the ghost scepter on him), Moon Rider, Gyrocopter and Shadow Fiend (from best to worse).
Remember that you can prevent yourself from being turned etheral with magic inmunity or debuff removers, so you can turn BKB on, etheral blast the enemy carry and proceed to kill their supports (or the other way, etheral->bkb is fine too, or etheral->manta, etc).

Just got my key and can't find any official Dota 2 - Forum for Suggestions/Discussion etc. Can someone tell me where to find it? Really need them to implement the possibility of disabling Shift-Queue and binding "Shift + Key" to the inventory slots :/ Also does someone know if they plan to make UI-Scaling possible?

E-Blade is kinda old school metagame wise. E-Blade use to be a must on morph when morph was the dominant carry. Now E-Blade is a very situational item. Honestly the explicit and implicit costs for getting and E-blade are just too high now a days.

yeah, something that doesnt let you attack, slows you down, disregards your spellshield while active and has no real synergy with any spell other then your ult.

The target of the E-blade gets slowed too, but not yourself, not even if you target yourself. The slow is a bit more powerful than Decrepify too.

Sure, you can use it like an idiot and pretend it's terrible, but I like my 500+ damage AoEs.

Think I played against you in a game last night where most of your team was some guys with the clan tag Zer0 and they were awful. Your Mirana was decent though

I should really lay off this page till I get a beta key. Reading thru the fun you guys are having makes me feel worse lol.
My biggest prob with Dota was the length of time each game needed. You would be literally stuck to the PC for an hour or more because you could not leave.
How long do games usually last for you guys? Have they implemented a concede feature yet?

No concede feature, but most games are under 45 mins these days if at least one team has any idea how to play . . . if not, or if the teams are very even, things can drag out considerably.

I am saying it's a valid item over the Buriza slot if it ever gets to that point. It also does a stupidly good job blowing up mid-game STR carries. It's stupid with level 3 Mana Void and it's serious AoE damage if the other team messes up their spacing at all. The ability to drop an AoE Laguna Blade on 2+ heroes is to not to be dismissed.
The drawbacks that people brought up are irrelevant, AM needs to be killed in one disable cycle regardless and while you can make the argument that spells do more damage than attacks, that is not the case as the game drags longer.
