I am suggesting that a wex invoker should get ONE point in exort for last hitting power in certain lanes, and different ways I can get it to work. It is not a DPS build, it does not try to meteor spam people. It simply gets a point in exort for last hitting power, then adapts to how that changes things (it makes both deafening blast and icewall viable in the early game). Agreed - something like invoker vs qop in lane, qop has such better damage that a decent one will just deny you into oblivion - I've seen a couple of pros do the same.

It's ok because you're Darkseer is basically an instant win if they can't finish the game in under 20 mins. That DD vs WE series in TPL was just so stupid. Granted they made some mistakes and still shouldn't have lost it, the fact that it was even possible to lose that game is mindboggling. ok so whats up with this DS crap? no srsly. i dont play against ds often...and they dont seem op to me. if he is so good i wanna learn him. i know his skills and items but i dont know what you think is so strong at him. i hate his ulti no one gos through the wall when i play him :D

Basically, he is approx balanced when he doesn't have ags, but with ags he not only gets 5 free extra hero hits essentially, but he also gains the tactical advantage of being able to see a t3 and take a rax for the cost of a 100 second cooldown spell, with no risk at all. Oh, I should mention this is coordinated (scrims ect) games. In pubs you don't have the communication to get a well executed wall to have its full effectiveness. At least, that is my experience

Now, if you want to be good with him. Just learn a jungle route, spend the time there to farm boots, aghs. Then teamfight teamfight teamfight.

I agree they should not have lost, but their carry threw away a massive amount of gold buying back to feed, selling tp boots/treads then buying treads again - these mistakes would be game losing in any even sort of close scenario. edit : Also, there are some oddities about damage - I'm not positive but either ally or enemy deal 50% rather than 90% even with scepter. A bug that is making him really strong is his wall illusions holding auras (so vlads, AC, shiva's are all transferring over which is a pretty big deal) when in dota 1 they do not.

Dark seer's Ult combo has a really long cooldown, and before aghs if you don't manage to get vacuum + wall off the ult is completely useless short of a team that charges into it over and over (which is a very basic mistake that WE made many times in that game.) If the wall misses, the team should just back off and ignore it. It's also not the easiest thing to land in the world. (Vacuum's CD is almost as long as the wall's duration). The wall lasts 45 seconds and cooldown is 100 seconds. I don't see how that is a really long cooldown. That means there's only roughly a minute between walls that a team can actually push? The 45 seconds is also enough time to recover from a death or two. Vacuum cooldown is 16 seconds. Allies do 50% enemies do 90% I think you should check out the hero pages first? Unless all the info on http://www.playdota.com/heroes/dark-seer is wrong.

Unless all the info on http://www.playdota.com/heroes/dark-seer is wrong. You're right on the vacuum. It's just my experience that the vacuum CD is sufficiently long enough that competent players won't give you a second chance to vacuum them through the wall, and most teams can position themselves well enough that the wall won't hit more than two or three people even with Vacuum. I think once people adapt to playing against him again he'll fade out of popularity. The ally 50% is what I was referencing. I could've sworn the wall only lasted 30. Oh well. A missed wall IS the full 100 second cd until agh scepter, is what I was trying to refer to. It's a great turtling spell but it's not something a team can place their entire hopes on, similar to Engima/SK ults. People pick those heroes for reasons other than their ults, the ults are just bonuses. They're versatile laners (SK can trilane/solo and Enigma can jungle or solo) It's the same for Dark Seer - he's been successfully run 1v3 and is an incredibly fast farmer in the jungle. He's also trending because he counters Veno and other heros who only have slows rather than stuns (Lich), and lets you run away from those pesky melee heroes like NS and AM. The issue to me is more how easily walled in the choke is at rax/t3 ramps rather than the Ultimate itself. It's really easy to just put it there and bam for 1.5 creep waves the team is relatively safe from rax attempts unless they're facing a massive aoe lineup that just annihilates the illusions.

He did not care about winning that game, just getting KDR.

If you are losing you could just counter push and force them back...really there is no way to lose unless you get seriously outplayed.

I was able to talk in chat, and speak with my team. My hero was just going off on its own, It went into the middle tower may have died. I disconnected really fast and logged off to virus scan, I have to watch the replay to confirm if it was a shift-latency bug or a hack.
