I answered the survey honestly rather than just pick the maximum option.

Filling in the 500+ games bubble and 104 heroes played was pretty depressing though.

I doubt they are going to meticulously pick apart survey answers anyway.

If you're that good you already have the beta. Anyone putting 9-10 on this survey is full of shit. Also I'm pretty sure your answers for K/D, gold, and heroes will have almost no effect on who gets invites seeing as people can easily lie about that. Filling in the 500+ games bubble and 104 heroes played was pretty depressing though. I picked 4 cause I haven't played forever. If I had been playing this whole time I'd of prob picked 6 or 7 or something in there.

Also if the people who signed up during The international dont use/check their emails, we have a higher chance of getting in first time round.

Same with being like 1700+ in HoN. So in that sense being a 9/10 is justifiable and not that ridiculous I doubt they are going to meticulously pick apart survey answers anyway. I feel like 1700+ definitely isn't 95th percentile, I'd give 1700+ 7-8/10. 1800+ sounds much more accurate for 9/10.

I would compare it to diamond level, 1800 comparable to masters and 1900+ grandmasters.

I don't know it exactly but if I have a great game with Magmus my GPM will be much much higher than it was with equal score etc. on Sand King. I don't think I've seen any games in Dota 2 where someone gets over 550 GPM (and that'll be with like 25 kills 3 deaths 400 CS), whereas in HoN you'll see people ricing a la testie or chu or something and get 750-1000 GPM.

Also I'm pretty sure your answers for K/D, gold, and heroes will have almost no effect on who gets invites seeing as people can easily lie about that. Filling in the 500+ games bubble and 104 heroes played was pretty depressing though. I played in NAIHL and I don't have the beta. Most high skill players do not have the beta, unless they were in the DotA1 beta or are connected to a sponsored team. Anyway the rating is pretty subjective; I'm low masters/high diamond in SC2 and if you asked me to rate my SC2 ability I'd probably say 5/10 because I think I'm trash. In either case, who cares, it's all arbitrary. The same debate has raged on endlessly in DotA1 about what can be considered high skill and ninja skill and gosu skill and fml. And obviously the answers have an impact on who gets in, otherwise they wouldn't make a survey.
