Isn't that steam feature for players in game at the moment ? There is a big difference.
Yes, but even if you put the average playsession to only an hour, if you average say 6k concurrent throughout the day (taking peaks/lows into account) that is 144k.

Why are you so anti-D3? Like, everything you say is either a lie or a severe exaggeration.
That's a full party doing all the way through Ubers though, but also Ironman style. Pretty sure a naked Barb could beat the story game from Normal-Hell though, but he'd have to go Singer build.
Interesting. Didnt think it would be possible, though I havent played D2 in ages.
How did he get poisoned naked and not have his health drop instantly around 2:10 in?

Looks like he's running Antidote potions.
Also, gear doesn't add much health.
It adds resists though. Also, he stays poisoned for like 10 seconds and his health doesnt move. Antidote potions remove poison entirely.
Yeah, saw it afterwards. Poison is fairly weak from a lot of sources. Don't think there are many that can actually just kill you except for Andariel, Nilithak (sp?) and some snakes. Plus I think the Paladin is giving auras.

Even with auras this is hell. How high of resists can you get without any items? For some reason I remember max resists being vital for doing ubers

I think with the quest bonuses + high Paladin aura, you can get to at least 30% AR. Barbs and Assassins can probably reach max with their skills added on.
Also, I think they use a lot of skills that screw with AI. Lots of knockback, fear and confusion.
200k a day is still pretty awful when you take into account that 12 million copies were sold. If you said that someone played every 7 days (I'm feeling generous. So let's assume that none of the people playing each week are duplicates), that's 1.4 million unique players a week. That's 1.4 in 12. That's 11%. This seems good to people? If you exclude gold farmers and bots, the number is even more terrible.
If ~11 out of every 12 people have quit, there's obviously a good reason.
