Just editied the screenshots, I play in Windowed mode, so I use a windows program to take the screenshot. As for drops, at least they are increasing the class specific drops (hopefully that means sets) so
But with every patch, that usually means the AH gets frozen, so figured I'd post some crap of what I've sold post PTR. Since everything is getting more affordable, I decided to just pickup a few peices for my monk.

Why do you think that? Legendaries of a particular ilvl can drop anywhere any item of that ilvl can drop afaik. ilvl 63s can drop in A1, thus legendaries that are 63 can as well? Or am I missing something? You would think so, but its the same as with plans. Unless the 50 or so people I have talked to with hundreds of paragon levels combined in act1 hardcore should somehow not find a 63 legendary after 3?weeks. Yes they can drop in Act I, don't be silly:
Inferno - Act I iLvl 61: 17.7% iLvl 62: 7.9% iLvl 63: 2.0%
Inferno - Act II iLvl 61: 18.6% iLvl 62: 12.4% iLvl 63: 4.1%
Inferno - Act III and Act IV iLvl 61: 24.1% iLvl 62: 16.1% iLvl 63: 8.0%
Added in patch 1.03 Source: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/blog/6457499
edit: And not finding an ilvl63 legendary in act I in three weeks is evidence enough for you? Are you shitting me lol? The chances of a drop being legendary is something along the lines of 0.022% for Elites and 0.0018% for Normal mobs, now multiply those numbers with 0.02% for it to be an ilvl63 and you get a whopping 0.00044% droprate per Elite and 0.000036% per normal mob, meaning you'd have to kill about 2272 Elites and 27778 normals for one ilvl63 legendary to drop on average, who knows what you're luck is like... (even with a ton of MF you'll still have a lot to do :s)

All the drop rate arguments will be moot again since 1.05 will let everything drop in every act MP1+ (I was just on the PTR in act 1 and got a grand-exalted plan off the 1st pack). With the doubling of Legendary/Set drop rates, and buff to all the rares, items will be very easily available. But it's not like every rare will roll max stats, its that they have the chance to roll up to max stats much like you see shitty ilvl 63 rares now. It's just essentially every drop will now have a chance to be 'good'.
But back on topic. I've been farming a lot less lately (PTR, AH dying, nothing worth upgrading atm) but did pickup a Stormcrow off Cy last night that I sold immediately.

So I found this fairly unremarkable Tasker & Theo the other day and didn't salvage it immediately since it had MF, but didn't bother to list it until I had a free spot and someone decided it was worth $5. Really. a rare pair of gloves with any of the 3 higher dps stats and slightly lower vit is available for a few hundred k on the gold AH. I guess there is something about legendary and an open socket on a pair of gloves I must be missing.

Since I havent update this thread in a while, mostly due to lack of note-worthy sales (I guess 4 Skorns for $12 total counts as something?); I am bored at work and decided to calculate how much the drop rates have improved across the market and predict a relative value to 1.04. With gem prices plummeting due to either duping or inventory, I see a small surge in some rare prices, but a pretty marked decline in legendary and sets. Any item with random rolls related to crit usually carry a high markup still but should drop soon.
Assumptions The MP equivalence of 1.04 Act 3 = 1.05 MP2, 1.04 Act 2 = 1.05 MP1, 1.04 Act 1 = 1.05 MP0 Act 3 as far as difficulty, mob HP, general clear times for the same character. Multipliers used to determine increased rate of clear times: MP2 = 2.25x HP, MP1 = 1.5x HP Rares per Hour / Leg per Hour / % of farmers arbitrarily picked - its the relative changes that matter more. 1.05 MP0 Act 3 is the new "easiest" location to farm for items, and that all 1.04 farmers will *at least* be farming Act 3 MP0.
Fuzzy Math Literally, I copy pasted excel into an image. + Show Spoiler +
Results Useable Rares will be ~16x more available and should drop ~16x in price. Useable Weapons will be ~2.9x more available and should drop ~2.9x in price. ilvl 63 Legendaries will be ~5.4x more available and should drop ~5.4x in price.
Notes: Well-rolled ilvl 63 affix jewelery will command whatever price the market will bear as they didn't exist in 1.04. ilvl 63 random affixes on legendaries will also be marked up accordingly.

You're totally neglecting the demand side of the equation so you are way overestimating the degree of price drops.
Think of an economy of 100 people, with just one thing they want to buy. Let's say 1 person has $100, 9 people have $50, 10 have $30 and the rest have $10. Then assume there are two goods in the economy, one that has high quantities and a stable price at $1. Then there is another good that is very rare, and the current market price is $90, so only the rich guy can buy it. Now let's say you introduce 15 more the expensive good. The rich guy doesn't need another, but first the 9 people with $50 will buy it at 50, leaving 6 for the people with $30 to fight over. Some will think it is worth $30, some may not, and so the equilibrium price will end right around $30.
As you can see, the final price of a good depends on the interaction between distribution of wealth, and demand, not just the supply. Anyway, that was probably needlessly complicated, but hopefully it gets the point across. As the price falls, things start being in the price range of people that couldn't think about affording it before, increasing demand and providing some price stability.

Ya, I just threw demand into the ~ since it's impossible to really guess. I just know what items I had my beady eyes on since 1.04 preview and finally decided to spend a few M on that Shenlong Set to shoot some Hadokens along with my fireballs, even though I know next week the same fists will be cheaper, or I could have bought one with a socket for a reasonable price, etc.
But so far, the price of "good enough" legendaries/sets has been more than 5x drop in price, the 'well rolled' ones are up there as expected. But rares just don't sell. I relist at 50% previous list every 6 hours or so and they still don't sell.. so the 16x drop looks ok so far!

Seriously Americans are either totally retarded or have way too much money. On EU that would not work at all.
|
There is still a pretty large disparity between the min-buyout-price on the RMAH vs GAH on the US you can take advantage of, problem is stuff is so cheap now the fees kind of kill everything.
|
Cashed out after farming the higher MPs for Hellfire. Nothing really of note to mention (Skull grasps, bunch of mediocre set items for a few bucks, some gold) but this was how much I sold one of my set fists for. Stuff is reaching the point where "good enough" set items aren't worth selling on the AH to overcome even the $1 fee. 'Good items' will still always sell though.
Also looking to see the other one as well ;D + Show Spoiler +
