It's going to be pretty high variance when it comes to making money. One of my items sold for four million so obviously that was a big part of my profit. Most of the items were completely terrible. Sometimes I would get a rare five chests in a row, sometimes i'd get three rares in one chest and then sometimes I would have a bunch of chests in a row of a like one or two terrible blues.
I read some people saying they nerfed it but I don't know. Sometimes it felt like I was never going to find a chest and then all of a sudden I get three or four chests in a row. I tried it for an hour earlier after waking up and I had a similar deal. Couldn't find a chest for like 5-10 minutes and then boom 3 chests in a row. I don't think people understand the variance on something like this, or it really could have been nerfed, i don't know. I'll try more runs later on in the day but again I don't know if I can tell anything from the sample size.
It's very important to be as fast and efficient as possible. It only takes about five to ten seconds to create and leave and that includes determining if it's the correct layout. Trying to fight your way to the chest just takes up too much time. You could be creating a couple new games in the time it takes to do that. Always be thinking about your next game.

I've sold items for maybe 3 million and that was all from the aspects when it was new and I could sell 700 dps weapons.
Meanwhile I tell my friends about all the good farming locations and they get sick good items all the time. One of them got 3 set items in his first 10 goblins...
What's your secret?
tell me about it, I have the same problem. Now I walk around with 190mf and still only find crap. The worst part though is my brother plays with me and does not care for mf, he has found 1 green and 2 orange items, me neither

Did this get hotfixed today? I've restarted the game like 15 times and still haven't got the proper layout.

Keep Deep chest isn't 100% spawn anymore iirc.

I've been running 231 MF, did about 100 act 3 chest runs in total, never found a single decent item, but been making quite a bit selling the loot for 50-100k a piece. Even without getting good drops, farming is still good income.

Apologies in advance, but is it better to do Warden/Butcher 5 stack or Maghda 5 stack? I can do W/B easily, and M depending on the last champion/elite spawn. I never seem to get any good drops from Maghda, but heard from somewhere that she drops much better equipment than the other two?

We use to get them every 6-7 runs. Now it seems more plus the loot have been mediocre.

Get more MF man, I have 216mf and refuse to run with anyone less than 190 (so it averages out to around 200 anyway, sometimes a bit lower).
You may also have bad luck, but really, it's all about the mf. You need to get it up another 100 points before you can complain. Sure, some people with no MF get some good stuff, but if you want to get reliable equip, you gotta get the values higher.

Yes it's caverns of frost I sometimes skip because IMO it's kind of annoying. I always do siegebreaker if I have at least 2 NV stacks. AFAIK it's the only guranteed resplendent chest in act3 though... it's at the end of the 2nd level. It shares a spawn with one other dungeon but I seem to get the caverns of frost almost all the time.

I find it kinda easy but i only ran it once in inferno. The only ranged enemies are quillbeasts i think. Thanks for the info.

I pick up blues and insta sell them but some people just skip over blues so they don't have to port back twice, just preference.
