Wait where exactly is the second chest? I know the one on the bridge but ive never seen/noticed another chest anywhere.

When you get past the first room door scout south, there is 2 small walls (the walls on the left of the room).
The chest is in front of the second wall.
As I said in the hundreds of runs we made we only got the 2nd chest 2 times and never got it alone without the bridge one.
First time we got it the skype conversation exploded "I GOT 2 CHEST OMG LOLOL"

8th Act 2 WP, can't remember what it's called. Just go right, if you don't find it after the first two staircases (there should be 3) then it's not there. There are sometimes elites or purples, as well as regular mobs, so you have to be careful. I'd say spawn rate is about 33%
I'm at around 216 MF with hybrid dex/mf gear (virtually no health) though - hard to switch equip midway.
I want to try the keeps one (heard about it before) - what is the chest spawn rate? I'm not familiar with the layout either, how far do I have to go?

Wow is it more popular than act 3 chest farming? Are goblins typically better than chests? I never have chest farmed before so I don't really know.
I do get on average 2 rares per goblin kill though with 216 mf. Helps being a DH or Wizard as well.

I just noticed, I actually farm a different one. I've tried the Road to Alcarnus one, it seems tougher to me. I might try it again though if the pros are doing it.

All I'm seeing them do atm is take the wp and kill the goblin and leave and repeat - I'm sure there is more too it but that's all I've seen in the last 10 minutes or so.

Cant even fucking kill the act 2 goblin. 20k DPS, takes me like 3-4 minutes to even clear the trash mobs, try and take it on, escapes with 80% HP, wow..i suck balls

Have your friend or someone on TL that wants to farm as well help you out -- I find it is much easier to trap the goblin and dps him down while he's cc'd(I just stand under him and spam traps while dpsing, and my monk friend uses the mantra that increases damage done). Much easier than trying to chase him around solo, plus you have a higher chance of consistent goblin runs if someone else is doing it (joining the game of whoever got the goblin, works even better with 3-4 people).

I was trying to keep this a secret but since everyone and their mother chest farms in Act3 and it'll get patched within the week I might aswell give you guys this tip. Get to the "kill the siegebreaker" quest. Go to the level 1 wp and check if you have the chest. If it's there and you need to clear then take the wp to Rakkis crossing and instantly take the wp back to the chest and have Tyreal clear for you.

I was farming the same chest all day yesterday as well. I was farming it for probably 8 or 9 hours and I made 9 million gold. Sometimes I did it on my own, sometimes a friend joined the search as well. Most we had were 2 people doing it at once. It's best to just suicide your way to the chest every game, no point in ever killing anything, just run through elites and mobs, loot chest, die, repeat. Vendoring all the trash pays for any kind of repair bills you get and then some. Very nice place to farm. I had over 200 mf.

I was doing the chest run thing in act 3 for a few hours not but lately all I keep getting is 2 blues. Have they hot-fixed it or have I just been unlucky? (got yellows almost every time the first few hours, 189%mf)

Last I heard they hotfixed it the first day but the spawn rate went from 33% to 15% (all speculation).
It's still working, a ton of ppl are farming it. Try to get a group going, you'll get 4x more chests.

So tired of people describing what they get from their farming. "Stormshield, some random set item, a few plans". Ok...
I've farmed the act 2 goblin with a friend for three days. Probably about 150 goblin kills. I farmed aspects when it was a new thing. Probably did 6-700 aspect runs. I farmed chests in act 2 and 3 but not incredibly much, maybe just 30-40 chests. I've done about 50 butcher runs with 5 stacks, about 10 Siegebreaker runs with 5 stacks (took a long time though), and 10 Zultan runs with 5 stacks. I've done half the farming runs with 100+ MF (never noticed a difference, anyway).
What have I gotten from all this, you ask? (Ok you don't but I'll pretend you ask). NOTHING. Not a single legendary item. Not a single set item. Not any good rares. Not a single weapon above 1k dps. I've sold items for maybe 3 million and that was all from the aspects when it was new and I could sell 700 dps weapons.
Meanwhile I tell my friends about all the good farming locations and they get sick good items all the time. One of them got 3 set items in his first 10 goblins...
What's your secret?

100 MF is extremely low...
|
Swap into 200+ MF gear before you kill elites/bosses/goblins or open chests would be my suggestion.
