I can't farm as often as you guys, so going crit is too expensive for me. Is massing as/loh/ls viable? like, will there be a point where I'll have enough of those to do very quick A3 runs(w/o crit)? I know I can't reach something like 100k dps w/o crit, I just want to be able to farm act 3 comfortably, wait for my once-in-a-lifetime 1b drop, and then upgrade to crit.

Don't double stack resistance on boots. They already need 12% movespeed, such that rolling the right amount of dex, vit, your specific resist, all resist, and movespeed is very rare which equals a huge price. Just go for 40+ your specific resistance, 12 movespeed, 230+ dex, 70+ vit.

Slots you should 100% try to double stack: shoulders, belt
Slots you probably could double stack, but could get expensive (in this order): bracers, boots, chest, legs
Slots you probably would never double stack because they require too many of the right stats: helm, gloves, jewelry

I'm one of the last few ias stackers as I can't feel 'right' unless I have almost 2 attacks / second with FoT. But I also run between 20-30% crit and do Act 3 pretty easily. My dps is on the low side and can't farm as efficently as I'm sure a 75k dps monk can, but I only die to Molten and that's about it.

Hey guys, I'm trying to farm A3 efficiently but I can't really. Half the elites go fine, but the other half kill me anywhere from 1-3 times, depending on my reflexes. One of the big problems is that, while I can sustain in fights pretty well, I die very easily to burst damage before I can use serenity. What item/s should I replace, and why?

Yes, that's a legacy Ouroboros, from back when they were 5mil a piece. (1mil now t.t)
Edit: My budget right now is 3 million, but I've been very successful in flipping items in the AH in the past and I think I will be now, so hopefully in a few days I'll get up to 10-15 mil.

Lokrium, I'd say there is an easy solution... a helmet with a socket! That is a pretty amazing helmet, but you are giving up so many EHP without the socket that if you switched to a slightly worse helm but with a socket you would probably see an increase in survivability. You could always switch out mantra of conviction for defense, but that would probably slow you down a ton.

You've got a few slots where you've got no Dex, I think you should be going for at least +1700 from gear. Your helm is nice but zero dex really hurts you.

Your armor is a bit low, ideally you want your armor damage reduction to get near 70%. I think the easiest spots for +armor attribute are the chest, pants, and belt. That plus some additional dex from OWE should get you up into the high 6k range.

More LoH. Unfortunately, that means trading out for a bit less damage but 1500+ LoH makes you near indestructible with FoT and the IAS rings you've got.

Replace both of your weapons with ones that have both Dext and LoH. You should be able to find ones around 850 DPS with a decent dext roll and 500+ LoH within your budget, say under a mil each, and prolly a bundle from selling your old fists.

Bigger problem for him IMO is his health. 22k is on the very low end, especially since he dies to burst damage. He's not having problems sustaining with the ~1k LoH he has. His armor and resists are probably fine too, I have a bit more, but that's negligible with how much LoH he has, it's mostly just his health. Swap out chest for one with ~150 vit, and 3 sockets. You'll drop some dex but that's not why you are dying to burst.

It's probably Way of the Hundred Fists; it's a very long attack animation; and when I used it on Belial, even if I started the 'volley attack' before seeing the fist targetting icon - I couldn't get out of the way - I would still be attacking.

Long story short, unless you have a lot of IAS, I could *strongly* recommend changing to another primary skill at least for Belial. *

If it's the exploding pools phase that gets you; then you just need to get used to how long the puddles last before exploding and how large the explosion is (it's slightly bigger than the green circle IIRC). That and make sure you have Serenity / SSS ready to use to avoid the explosions.

* I have killed Belial with WotHF, you have to be very careful to not just right click on him or you can get stuck and end up taking his two-hand slam. Also, I used BoH ready in case I ever took too many fists.

Easiest way I say is to pick up the highest dps 750+ LoH/ias weapon for cheap (right now a 800 dps fist with 700 loh is on the AH for 15k), amulet with 500+ loh/ias for cheap (81k on AH now), shield up, and just switch to FoT-Lightning Flash, Breath of Heaven - whatever you like, whatever sweeping wind floats your boat, switch to Evasion - Hard Target, drop Near Death for Resolve, and stand through all his punches (spamming Mantra as much as your spirit allows) and just avoid the dot phase doing zero dps. It's not a race for your first kill / progression, so your dps doesn't matter at all. Stack some more IAS if you have issues with your LoH not healing enough.

Hmmm, you have One with Everything, but then you have about 50 of every resist on your gear. You should focus on only one resistance or drop One with Everything for something else (either Resolve or Guardian Path).

So how much resist do I need for each act? I have gone up to like 800 and elites still murder me with the right rolls. I have about 1k loh too. I can't see how much higher I can really go.

Belial can be killed without taking any damage. Its all about your ability to dodge stuff. If you have quick enough reactions its the easiest boss in the game. Before the enragetimer hits ofcourse

800 resist is about 100 more then I have and 1000LoH is about 400 more then I have. I can pretty easily farm Act3. Think it might be more down to build and DPS in your case.

Uhhh is your gear updated? Log out(not just to char select) to update.

Right now I'm seeing low resistances, low armor, low dex and ungemmed stuff as problems. Also if you spent that much money on the pants and belt I'm seeing right now, I'm going to be real sad.

Your gear seems fine, my monk is slightly more geared defensively(~80 more resist, 700 armor roughly equal damage in MF gear), and about half your LoH, and I can farm act 3 pretty easily. I only really die to banelings and certain elite affix's. Could potentially just be a play issue.

Resists are lower than what I'd prefer, but aside from that no real problems.
