BiS gear includes stuff like Mempo with cc, pretty expensive. I haven't played it in months, but I guess my barb is still decent: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/BigG-2621/hero/412709Anyway, IK set for a relatively low budget is ok; Echoing Fury with str and socket, offhand with str cd and socket (dps matters if you want to try HOTA, fast attack rate for WW); high cc and ias wherever possible; Inna's pants (100+vit, or 50/50 str/vit, or 60res depending on your needs) or Lacuni bracers with cc for 24%ms; high EHP shoulders (Vile Wards are overpriced for barbs), etc. Otherwise you can play WW-rend with a Skorn. | ||

- Lacuni with CC (drop the resistances) - IK belt (170+ str, 70+ vit), then get a better offhand (str, cd, socket) | ||

Cleave/HotA Leap(armor rune), ancient spear(multi grapple rune), Offensive shout and Earthquake. Looking back, it wasn't a very safe build, but I got through the game without dying until fighting diablo for the first time. Now, playing hardcore, I got real paranoid that I was gonna die, so I decided to go with a 1h build with a shield using Cleave/Rend Leap (armor), Revenge I ended up plowing through the first act very quickly (my first play through i explored everything, got every book, explored the entire map, etc), then on act 2 I died in the desert before the first boss getting killed by a wasp (the ones who send the little Yellow glowing ones at you; those things hurt). It just seems so much harder this play through even though I'm using a theoretically safer build. Should I be using a different build, or should i be doing something to level up a bit more before heading to a new act since I'm entering a new act with a few less levels than I did my first time through? Also, should I be aiming to get +exp gems or random attributes to level up quickly, or should I play super safe and try to keep everything up to the best stats that I can (I don't know anyone to power level me, unfortunately) | ||

Leveling before act III is painful, too few mobs... you can farm Vault of the Assassin in act II for a bit, I guess. | ||

I've decided to start farming again on my account after a long break on this barb in preparation for the opening of the expansion. Right now I find myself dying in MP5 rofl, when I remember I used to do it without much trouble. What changed? Is it just my handling ability? Like my first question, is it better to store gold or to upgrade that barb? To be honest the theorycrafting has now become so advanced, I am unsure if my gear is any good. Would appreciate help on appraising my barb and telling me if I am to upgrade,what should I look to change, thanks http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Haike-1482/hero/105268 Oh and currently I am unable to maintain 100% uprate on my WoTB. dps on both of your weapons (offhand especially) is pretty low, even with the crit dmg rolls. upgrading those will probably give the biggest dps boost. maybe try a skorn out with the ww/rend build? you can gear out a barb for this build on mp10 for like 100m i think i'd chuck both of your rings. get rings with crit chance, crit dmg, strength and average dmg if you can. upgrade the IK gloves to one with crit dmg on it as well. and your IK belt could use a bit higher strength and some vit on there too. i don't think an upgrade would be too expensive i'd farm some demonic essence craft some amulets and bracers if i were you, and switch to inna's pants with strength for a nice dps boost and the movement speed you'll lose from getting rid of those lacunis. amulet might take several rolls to upgrade but i'm pretty sure you could upgrade your bracers in like the first 3 tries hope that helps | ||

It only matters for Whirlwind I remember, but shouldnt majority of my damage come from my tornados? I do have a skorn, I did try the WW/Rend build, is it as fast as a normal tornado barb? Is there a link to a guide or a video on how the build should work on MP 10? Breakpoints i should meet? Like how much damage per rend or something? Yeah last time I played, rings were expensive. If i chuck away my rings would it be expensive to replace? I have only 10m left. Essence for amulets & bracers o.o I didn't do any crafting before, I will try it later. Inna's and getting rid of lacunis, okay. I have a pair of decent bracers that I've removed in order to use the lacunis, I will swap it out by getting a Inna first. What are good stats for a good Inna? | ||

Yeah I've been trying the Skorn build last night, I didn't die in MP5 at all, but I really lack practice at keeping WOTB up. At least I usually can maintain WOTB long enough for it to come off cooldown most of the time. I think I lack the attack speed to generate fury fast enough using Whirlwind. I dont think I want to switch to a Inna pants as it would drop my hp too low, right now im only at 36k which is barely enough, if I drop that 200+vit on my pants i will probably die more. Still haven't tried the WW/Rend without a fury generator build yet though, I shall try tonight on MP10 see if i can take it. | ||

I'm having trouble staying alive on MP10 when solo farming. I've been mostly doing act1, getting 5 stacks and running fields. If I kill mobs in small packs it takes forever, and when I run around agrowing larger groups to kill them often times I end up just dying, am I doing things wrong or do I just need more vit/all res on my items? How the hell do the barbs with 300+ dps survive when I see some with even less hp and resists than I have. Also any suggestions for possible cheap upgrades? I'm down to about 35 million, have a 1 hander im trying to sell that might net me 20-50, maybe. | ||

I dislike your IK Irons as well - you can get a lot more str instead of the attackspeed which isnt that important for HotA anyway. Also, some LoH would probably be cool. not an expert on mp 10 though, i was mostly farming mp7 as i was safer and faster there - never had top end gear. | ||

You should be able to craft better shoulders fairly easy and since you are not running 5 piece IK, crafting a pair of gloves could also probably help a lot. | ||
