Yea I have 30% more attack speed than you, then. I'm hoping the raw crit and attack speed will be enough, but we'll see. I just couldn't get onto PTR, so I'm forced to wait for patch.

Just found an IK belt to get me up to 3 piece IK (also found my gloves ). Can't decide if I should keep or sell and use the gold to gear up multiple other pieces...any opinions?

You lose character sheet damage but not 'real' damage. With ww the off hand damage doesn't matter, just the stats on it. :p
edit - When you use bash to generate fury or single target enemies it can be a problem so careful with that. When I get the gold I will upgrade to a higher dps off hand and one with more crit damage.

Actually WW damage does count your offhand it is sprint that uses only main hand damage. You are probably talking about WW as a build but just clarifying.

By the way, I'm wondering, what's up with WW dmg being so low?
I crit for 100k+ with bash, and seem to crit for 20k with WW, when on paper they're supposed to do respectively 160 and 145% dmg. My sprint tornado seem to do as almost much raw dmg as WW.

Indeed, thanks for the clarification though. I can see how my wording could be confusing.

That's the way I'm leaning atm, thanks!

One fun build I've been using is Seismic Slam with the reduced fury rune (replace WW with Seismic Slam), you can sustain WotB with just Seismic Slam. It's not as fast as double tornado but it's fun seeing everything fly around. You can also replace Warcry with HotA against elites since that can sustain WotB as well.

Hey guys a lil help. I just built a WW barb but i'm having trouble keeping my fury up. I've seen krip's act 3 farming video and he seems to easily get fury even with few mobs. I have 42% crit rate. What things should I do to keep my fury up? thanks.
|
42% crit is definately enough in 1.0.4, you're just doing it wrong. Sprint is the fury generator, WW the spender. Unfortunately it's all going to change soon and you'll have to adapt in 1.0.5.
|
Keep in mind Kripp also uses a mighty weapon as well as animosity as a passive so his fury generation will be a lot higher than you if you're using an axe without animosity.

Hey guys I am trying to finish inferno on act 3. As a Barb how do you guys deal with the fallen maniacs(suicide guys) they kill me in 1 hit everytime. i have over 6000 armor ~350 AR 40k+hp. If someone could help that would be great. the only thing i can do atm is area stun and kill some of them first but they come in packs of 5+ and usually i can't kill them all by the time stun is up and boom. dead. Please help thank you

Please help thank you Are you playing a WW barb? If so, WW directly at them right away and keep moving forward. The goal is to hit them first before they activate their explosion attack, after which if you don't kill them your tornadoes that you leave behind should be able to.
A mistake that many make is to run backwards away from them. I don't like this for several reasons: - this takes you further away from the next mobs, which can waste valuable wotb time - at some point you turn to move forwards again. If you accidentally do this too soon, you'll run right into the baneling dudes and get hit

If you actually want to tank them, you need A LOT MORE.
Take my barb for instance, he is a mean tanking machine.
10.500 Armor, 900-1100 All resistance. 48K HP. 47% block chance and a storm shield. 3 of those bitches and BOOM, dead.
Best way is to have stun, fast burst dmg. and leap/sprint to run away..
I play with a wiz friend who kill them for me.

(one could probably still use warcry impunity instead of overpower though.) basically its a traditional melee barb instead of the mobility-based playstyle of ww/sprint. sprint is still used for hard mobs that have to be kited and to get from mob to mob more quickly. this build is far superior than ww/sprint on high mp levels, where damage and not mobility is the limiting factor for the effectiveness of the runs. for an example, see http://de.twitch.tv/bloodshot01/b/333798868at around 5:20 onwards. he was able to solo all ubers on mp 10 in less than 5 minutes each.
I been running this recently instead of my previous 2h build, and it feels insanely strong. With my current 2.8 attack speed (with wotb), wotb can be easily sustained by just autoattacks and HoA, its got a much higher single target dps and sprint can easily deal with trash mobs/mobility. With about 7% life steal I seem to be able to fairly easily sustain even in MP10 vs most elites. It feels just as good as ww, instead of going through monsters, most of the time you can just mow monsters down with HoA in a few hits instead. Even though I lost about 60k dps from switching out of my skorn, my runs feels a lot faster now.

Please help thank you If you're a WW/sprint barb you can kill them with your tornadoes you leave behind you. It's actually usually fine to just charge straight through them initially, but be EXTREMELY careful if they are behind doors (the doors will glow - try to learn to recognise the look).
If you're using a different build... honestly just run the hell away. 12% (or more) movement speed helps, or sprint / leap / charge. They will detonate on their own!
