With this build I'm in act 4 hell and I'm not having many problems. However it just doesn't work for solo... the damage is there for sure, but I get destroyed if they get to me through hex and mass confusion and the pet buffer. Any suggestions?

Spirit walk is a must have. Personally I dislike Hex and Fetish army, I am going with wall of zombies and spirit walk. Also I found Vision quest is enough mana for everything so you can swap Spiritual Attunement with Spirit Veil/ Fetish/ Pierce the Veil | ||

I run 1H+Shield stacking vitality where possible. I still DoT things and then run around in circles until they're dead. ~35k life, 11k dps with Soul Harvest and clearing Inferno Act 1. Biggest problem is elites at the very start of caves where there is little room to kite. I use a different build for Act bosses (Normally Vision Quested Spirit Barrage), but I kinda just do that on the spot. I play solo almost exclusively though. I think a Vision Quest zombie bear build would be far superior with a tank. | ||

My current build, level 51 in Hell. I'm not too sure about Flash Fire, maybe Roll the Bones is better but its getting the job done very well. I've tried mass confusion in place of fetish army but for now I prefer fetish army. Any thoughts? The AOE with firebomb and single target with poison dart seems very good at this point. I was really hesitant to drop soul harvest but so far I don't miss it at all. I'm running with a lot of vitality, like 22k health atm. Hopefully this will work through hell and into inferno. I suppose I could also easily drop a survivability cooldown and pick soul harvest back up, but I figure until I feel like my damage is really lacking I'll stick with the extra safety. | ||

can't imagine how badly people would complain about D3 if Inferno mode did not exist. before + Show Spoiler + after + Show Spoiler + I think it's 18K+ DPS after Soul Harvest + Gruesome Feast + Pierce the Veil. Holding down RMB casting Zombie Bears good skill to have in Hell. Too bad it looks like Zombie Bear fun ends in Inferno. | ||

Yeah I do something similar. I don't really like wall of zombies though, waaay too high cooldown for little damage/slow imo. I use locust swarm with mana rune instead. There will always be teleporters/fast elites, and getting off a locust swarm helps damage them all. Also it destroys illusion packs. | ||

You can take Spirit Vessel, Jungle Fortitude or Fetish Sycophants. Im also using Honored Guest instead of Healing Journey and usually swapping Zombie Wall or Horrify for an aoe spell like Locust Swarm but im not sure yet what combo i prefer. | ||
