http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/witch-doctor#bejdiT!ZYV!aaZaaZ The idea is simply to run in, mass confuse as big a group as possible, Soul Harvest and then dump acid on everything. Every time I get a health globe I can keep attacking, and with my current gear I have 25 yard health globe pick up and +6000 health from them and a passive making them buff me and give me more mana I just kinda explode everything. Champion packs are mostly dealt with in the same way, using Confuse and Gargantuan to buy time whilst I spam them down with Spiders and acid, though I do have to kite some group types and use Confuse to help me focus down one at a time. I do use a shield with this build instead of a mojo so I'm worried I might need to do something else when with a group trying to max out DPS later, but it's very efficient whilst solo so far. With the resistances from Int and the Jungle Fortitude passive you get to be quite tanky. + Show Spoiler [In depth explanation of skills] + Corpse Spiders: Leaping Spiders Particularly useful for the amount of things it lets me shoot around, but spammable with reasonable damage and I don't have to be accurate when it'd be hard to be. Haunt: Consuming Spirit DoT with life regen that I can fire and forget. Mass Confusion: Devolution Mass Confuse buys me time and gives me cov er so I can start dumping acid on everything, and I'm using the Devolution rune for free dogs to take a couple of hits for me. With the health globe pick up range I can keep them up a bit, but I'm currently experimenting with Mass Hallucination and Paranoia runes for a bit of extra AoE damage instead. Soul Harvest: Swallow Your Soul Soul Harvest is a must for this, as every fight I'll be getting it to 5 almost without fail, and it's an ok mana back up. I did experiment with Siphon but I swapped back in the end. Acid cloud: Acid Rain 24 yard AoE. Spam it on everything, get health globes for mana, then do it again. Gargantuan: Restless giant Makes a reasonably good tank so long as you're paying attention to health globes. The 2 minute cooldown is reset if you resummon so I abuse that fact by resummoning after packs wherei t was used, or when the effect finishes on champions or bosses for a more sustained bit of damage. Junge Fortitude Running in to a group of enemies without the 20% damage reduction is suicide. Keeps dogs and Gargantuan alive an extra hit or two too. Gruesome Feast Extra mana and extra damage every health globe is basically why this build works. Spirit Vessel I don't always survive long enough to get the kills I need for the health globes or between Potion cooldowns on bosses or champions, but the save from death quite often pushes me through. I normally get this proc and then within the 3 seconds will be back to full health again. If you can make it work without it though I'd be really interested in trying out Blood Medicine for the extra regen.

Is it related to high fire's resistance from the mobs on inferno or am I missing something ? Well poison darts with splinter rune is 60% weapon dmg x3, so 180%. Flaming Darts is 160% weapon damage. They take the same amount of time to cast once, for example I am at an even 2 attacks per second right now, so I get 360% weapon damage/second on a single target from poison darts, and 320% from using 2 flaming darts.

First of all, here's the build: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/witch-doctor#fQUdPX!TUW!cZaZbb - Bears are the primary skill (it's hell and we're killing tons of squishies) - Rain Dance BBV for literally non-stop spamming - Jaunt Spirit Walk for invincibility - Siphon Soul Harvest juuuuuust incase we mess up and need some HP (also lets you just stand there and heal up a lot easier) - Legion of Daggers Fetish Army is just my personal preference, go with whatever Fetish Army rune you want really - Face of Death Horrify for a little bit of added defense just in case - Grave Injustice passive is why this is borderline exploiting (everything, including BBV and Fetish army, is virtually instantly off cooldown) - Vision Quest for our mana - Pierce the Veil for increased dmg, since we have infinite mana SO, on to the good stuff. We're farming Iskatu, the little mini-boss guy who you encounter virtually upon entering act 4, so, load up act IV "Fall of the High Heavens", switch in these skills, and prepare for some easy farming. Step One: Go to the boss portal, which takes about 10 seconds to get to, and about 10 seconds of dialogue to listen to (hint:you can skip the Imperius dialogue by pressing spacebar) Step Two: Skip the boss dialogue, at which point he will send all those shades down at you; catch 5 with your Soul Harvest, and go to the bottom right corner of the arena Step Three: Blow all your Cooldowns, BBV, Fetish Army, Everything, and start shift clicking Zombie Bears - stuff will come at you from the left, then from the top as the shades start to pile up Step Four: At this point, the boss will walk over to you. Just zombie bear click him and continue to spam all your abilites - due to our first passive, you will have everything off cooldown quite quickly, so keep spamming it to keep VQ up - you should be virutally invincible because of siphon/jaunt, and you may also be able to cast BBV/Fetish Army multiple times within a short period - pay attention to BBV/Fetish Army, they can stop you from having VQ up if you aren't paying attention Step Five: Boss will disappear, go find him and continue spamming bears, and all abilites as they come instantly off cooldown - you can target the boss directly at this point, and well as during step four - you only need to shift click during step three Step Six: Boss dies, collect loot, exit game, reload - the whole process should take about 2-3 minutes, and you get lots of gold, a few blues, and 60k or so xp per run Tips: Don't stand in the fire, you can still take a shitload of damage and die. Also, the boss can be feared if you misclick and are about to die Lemme know if anyone else has a quicker way to farm xp/gold at this level (58 or so) - I'd love to hear it!

Anyone noticed the Passive skill Tribal Rites buggin' when you have the Fetich with CD's rune ? There are probably many more...

I used to chain Azmodan in NH and the first mini-boss of Act IV. Experience gained for these quests is quite high (around 100K XP in total). There is also a interesting spot : Zoltun Kulle. He is easy (and fast) to kill and gives a shitload of experience (~100K XP), plus there is a portal which leads you directly to him.

So you can put in Jungle fortitude or put a heavy mana use ability

Poison damage vs fire vs physical As well as Does armor reduce damage by only a percentage, or is there a numerical armor reduction as well. If it is numerical (like, say, -10 damage to attacks) then Fire would be better than splinter. I don't know the answers to these inferences.

How do you guys deal with mobs with Shielding, Waller, Mortar, and/or fast movement speed? Shielding isn't as BS as Invulnerability but it's so annoying to deal with I'd rather skip it. Waller depends on whether I actually get completely walled in or not. if not, I can Spirit Walk. If so, I'm probably fucked. I have no idea how to deal with Mortar. I can stay inside Mortar range but I can't tank the mobs Mortaring. I can't kite anything with fast movement speed. they always catch up to me.

Most of the elites you will have to run past in Inferno. They just aren't possible to kill.

Against Vortex, Mortar, Waller or similar abilites, basically, if the mobs are in your screen you are not far enough away. Stuff with fast movement is your nemesis. Try to nuke the shit out of them. If that doesn't work, die and try again. Little sidenote: You need about 25k hp to reliably survive the Butchers aoe cone thingy that is quite quick. So your options are, either having enough defense to survive it, or (the way I've been doing it for the most time) ninja reflexes with Spirit Walk and patience because you will still die if you are unlucky.

http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/witch-doctor#WgUdZQ!bUV!bcaZaZ centers around stacking lots of +life on hit and using skills that do a good job of proccing that a lot the build only seems viable after stacking tons of resist, Vit, and +life on hit though, but it's the first WD tank build I've seen at least searching through AH for +life on hit 1H can roll 900+ Amulet can roll 500+ Ring can roll 300+
