Ok I need some advices fellow Wizards!
http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Iuvenalis-2817/hero/1445782
I play quite unusual build (Nova + Disintegrate with Chaos Nexus + Critical Mass) but it's super fun for me.
Now I want to improve but don't know exactly what. I don't know if I should trade Storm Cow for Mempho - now good Mempho would give me kinda same DPS as my Storm Cow, with good hp boost and +res but I would lose Loh + APOC which is kinda huge for me since I'm burning mana constantly. APOC is really great, if I freeze 5 mobs I get +15 crit chance and with Chaos Nexus I'm criting like a mad boy - APOC is what is saving my butt.
The thing is I don't know how to really heal myself properly. I have: 800 life per second 1300 life per hit 1300 life after death
Which I feel should be kinda enough, but it isn't. Loh is really sucking ass, and getting rid of my Storm Cow would cut it even more. Life after death is great, but not against elites. Regeneration is good, but not that good if you don't have ~2k.
Any advices on gear? Please help :>

I think Tyrael's might, then a witching hour, wile ward etc...
Edit: For other one above, you're at the damage you should use life steal not life on hit for regeneration imo, otherwise you need to get like 2 unity or the like rings, another amulet with loh and possibly blackthorne's pants but that makes little sense (blackthorne might be worth it as you already have the armor so the bonus outweights the depth diggers). So i suppose switching weapon for for example an echoing fury with life steal and very high damage but without sock and crit might be the way to go, as you have low crit chance that will be optimal in terms of spending for sure, mine with 1250dmg cost me 8 mil, and it does as much damage with my 38% crit as an echoing fury with 130% crit damage at 950ish damage which are really really expensive.

Thanks man. So basically with high DPS Life steal > Life on hit?

yes anything above 100k LS is better. Also if your struggling hard try and use MagicWeapon(BloodMagic) rune. It will help significantly.

For all you lower end CM build Wiz's out there...if you have the cc% and are lacking somewhat on the ias portion...I have been playing around w/ Slowtime the IAS rune(i forget name atm) It helps significantly..I replaced my teleport w/ it so I didnt lose my Prismatic Armor. Not only does it increase your IAS also...it increases everyone's in the party...So if your doing ubers w/ some WW barbs...It will help them exponentionally also. edit: I used it to help push me over the 3.0aps bump I think it's extremely amazing.

Another thing to try, if you are already running a pretty smooth SNS build, is to replace teleport+wormhole & evocation/blur with meteor+molten impact & conflagration. In addition to the required armor/res/life & ias/cc stats you will need as close to 30apoc as possible -- at least 25.
So basically you end up losing some mobility in exchange for meteor spam, which causes all other dmg output to increase +10% on top of the meteor dmg. It's insane high DPS. If you're not quite able to spam meteor this way, try using pinpoint barrier armor instead of shocking aspect for more cc/apoc benefits. Not sure if it's still good without shocking aspect though!

man i just found a int skorn with lifeleech. before putting it in the ah i tested it and its just a minor dmg loss vs my triumvirate/1h combo(tho my sword sucks at just 875dps) but the 3% more ll is VERY noticeable. this really is a nice option for archon builds.
sucks a bit for resetting cd but while in archon youre pretty much unkillable.

So, anyone else having problems finding legendaries in the past few days? Usually i find at least one in two runs, if unlucky one in three runs. Now it's 15 runs and i've only found one DAWN >< I've got 55 paragon levels.

rng is random. found reliably one evry 2-4 runs for a week. then NOTHING for 3 days. then 2 in one, 3 in the next.

I'm another player coming back to D3 after a few months away. I stopped playing once I realized I had played more AH in the last week than actual D3; making runs in A2 inferno to gear up was much more frustrating than making 100m on the AH. I unfortunately did not cash out my gear prior to quitting as I didn't think I'd be coming back at all, but I did have ~50m left in the stash.
Anyway, I came back to check out 1.05 and I'm having fun so far. Making runs doesn't seem like entirely wasted time, and the ability changes make the game mildly more interesting; ie teleport in archon mode makes it just slightly less SHOOT THEM ALL and adds at least something to consider. I spent ~10m to double my DPS to ~90k buffed and replace some of my gear (switched to 1H/OH from 2H AO build, picked up Vile Ward and a new ammie), MP0/1 are pretty easy and I haven't tried higher than that but my feeling is that survivability is going to be an issue soon. DPS could also use a boost of course, but that is always true with archon build.
Current setup:https://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Eschaton-1341/hero/11653382
I'm interested in ideas for specific improvements or overall direction changes for my gearing. I've been focusing on DPS and regen (~2000 atm), but I'm having a hard time finding ways to improve my DPS w/o losing survivability. I feel very low on Vit. I'd like to try a Tyrael's Might for move speed etc but would lose Vit, and I'm not sure where I can make that up. Overall budget is around 30m, I'd like to have a little cash leftover. Who likes being broke =D
Pieces I have NOT changed since coming back: Helm, gloves, bracer, chest, belt, pants, boots

You would get a big damage boost by switching to a triumvirate, since your weapon doesn't have any elemental damage on it. Your belt would be very cheap to improve. You could probably get one with identical stats + decent vitality for 5 million or less. Similarly, boots with 140+ int, a bit of vit, 60+ AR and movespeed go for less than 5 million, which would be a nice upgrade as well.
Those are the things that jump out at me. Pants would be an easy upgrade too, but I'm not as up on pricing there.

Would a triumvirate really be that great? If I got a 5-6% arcane that would apply to Archon damage I assume? Otherwise I will definitely lose both a few % CC and my IAS from Chantodos OH.

sup dood, a triumvirate is an amazing orb!
|
Just want to know if there are still any old school orb-signature-hydra wizards out there toting skorns or two handers.
What is the average damage that you get per orb pop and what is it when it crits?
Just want to know for benchmarking.
Thanks

Chantodo is better than trimv, especially whn you pass 45% cc and got high cdmg. Just need proper roll ^.^ On topic i would not touche OH couse thats still one of your best parts , i would replace thigns that are most crappy a.k. belt(get 100+ iint 50+ vit 70+ all ress and some rgn those are for like 500k-1kk on eu ah), pants(some int doesnt have to be much a.k. fine belowe 100, 250+ vit 70+ ar some life rgn those kinda goes for 1-3kk on eu ah) boots ( 12 speed 70+ all ress 100+ int 50+ vit some rgn goes for ish 3-5kk eu ah) bracers (100+ int 4+ crit chance 70 all ress soem life rgn 1-3kk on ah), get tyrael might ( aside obv int roll get abit of vit those go for 3-5kk) gloves (150+ int crit cahnce 8+ crit dmg 40+ life rgn 3-5kk).That would do ish for starters

Hmm well its 20 -79 dmg 1,5% crit chance 9 ias and 31 int vs 18% elemental dmg (comparing perfect ones).Dont have time to do the math but unless you got some uber 1h 12xx its not even close.
|
Triumvirate is a great way to boost your dps by a lot for cheap, but lacks stats when your other gear improves. It becomes great again when you get the absolute end game weapon and lots of jewelry with average damage.

actually a 45 million 270 avg dmg 200 int 9.5 chantodos loses by 2k dps vs my 7m 5/6/5 triumvirate.
and i have a 875 dps black weapon and 371% crit dmg (so the more crit from chantodos counts for more).
so yeah, not even close might be the right phrase, just not in the way you meant it....
in the ends its very simple. chantodos for cm tank builds, or if you have a godlike elemetnal 1h that would be stupid to trade for a way worse black weapon. other then that trium is just awesome and amazing for its price.
/edit on a sidenote why are people so stupid? im trying to sell my tal chest with 165int,41 ar,77vit and 6% life for over a week now. not even at ~75m it sells while i see chests with same stats just 100 vit and no %life get sold all the time for 90++, and those have LESS hp in the end(for me its just 1k less hp then my 155vit zuni chest for example...). stop buying worse stuff for way more gold all the time!
