Yes. If you mouse over the damage stat it says this.
|
Yes, but it's not included on the weapon's displayed dps even if the crit damage is on the weapon.

Because there's no way to include it on the weapon's DPS because it shows the same number to everyone and everyone has a different crit chance.

You kids and your counters :p

You guys are building Crit for AO right? I thought Hydra/Blizz doesn't affected by Crit at all even though it changes your "DPS"

im still level 30 (been focusing on starcraft too much), wondering how you decide between a 1h/oh and a 2 hand?
for example when i use Spectral blade I use a large dmg 2h, but when I use something like Magic missile or Electrocute I use a fast 1h. is this ideal?

If your attack power is limited by AP regen, go for the large damage 2h (AO, bliz, etc).
If your attack power isn't (signature spells as a core component), 1h + focus for more speed and other mods.

Now I'm not saying critical builds don't work, it's definitely the most expensive to build up on and I don't farm excessively... Actually I'd say the "stack IAS on everything because it makes your DPS look really high" build is the most expensive because IAS stacking provides a lot of paper DPS for any gear set up.
Well as a lot of people have already mentioned, IAS isn't everything. It is for crit/signature spell builds though. Good thing I didn't focus on that.
EDIT: got this helm for 1 million gold.... Did I overpay?

I will put a life gem on it for sure.

I bought a 163 int 80 all res 653 armor for 1m, no vit or socket :\

I am new to inferno and have act 1 down easy sauce, I have tried to read through this thread but get a bit confused by all the info, I am thinking of trying the AO/Arcane hydra build for act2 + 3 farming. What gear stats should I prioritize is it crit chance/crit hit, life regen, life on hit and int/vit/res?

hey guys I'm at 45k dps but only 15k hp. it seems i cant consistently pass even the first part of Act 2, since they just jump out of the sand and 1-shot me. Please advise! I have around 300 resist all, using a 1.3k dps 2H'er. Let me know if you need more info

Hydra/Blizz is affected by crit it just doesn't show the crits in yellow. I'm suspect this is due to damage being more continuous in nature in d3 and not in "ticks" (the ticks only update the damage "so far" every half a second) so in that time span there are some crits and some non-crits but it just shows the total number in white.

Took a jab at diablo on inferno tonight. Tbh, it wasn't too bad. I think I outgear the fight maybe.

jesus christ act 2 is hard 41kdps, 33k life, 200+ all resist
what do i want to get next? running AO/Venom
|
I just beat Act 2 roughly less dps, I think you just need more resists.
Though, now in Act 3, I'm needing some serious gear upgrades as I can't kill elites/champs here.
Where should I farm? Butcher or Magdha?
|
Having horrible trouble with Inferno just finished Hell last night. Any advice would be so awesome...right now I am at 24k HP / 31k DPS / nearly 170-190 in resists. Using Magic Missle / Disintergrate / Venom Hydra build.
|
Im farming butcher runs but wanna move on to act3 siegebreaker runs. What stats should i improve? I tried a breaker run but my dps cant kill anything. I have an 970 dps weapon with 160 int and 250-500 holy damage. I also have 1,5 mil to spend. Should i get a new weapon or save even more?
|
You could get an equivalent weapon for under 100k on the AH, it's just a matter of searching it until the right sale comes along. I suggest looking for sockets and middling + int. sometimes sellers pass over these things.
So yes, a weapon upgrade would be cheap and worth it. Give that sword to your enchantress.
Your resists and armor coupled with your life look a bit shoddy. Goat men shaman and harpy fireballs will likely one-shot you, or close to it. It looks like you're missing a helm socket. Always get helms with sockets, that one affix is worth up to 18% life (likely 13-14% if poor though).
Splurge a bit on a decent helm (150+ int, 30+ resists, socket), get a weapon upgrade with whatever's left, and you should be ready for siege breaker.

Have you guys have noticed that 2-handed swords and maces fuck up the kiting with seeker missile?
